I got really sick after eating here. I told the server I had celiac disease, and she was aware of what celiac is. I accidentally ordered an item with orzo (I didn’t read the complete description of the dish…). When the dish came, I immediately noticed the orzo and flagged the server. I apologized for misplacing my order (I felt really bad!!). However, she assured me the dish was actually gf. I was very suspicious, and she offered to take it back to the kitchen. She talked to the chef, and he confirmed the orzo was “gf orzo”. She brought the plate back to me and was very convincing. I threw up 3 hours later and felt awful.
Unfortunately I had a strong gluten reaction. We only ate from the gluten free menu - we shared 4 starters (after being assured that they were gluten free) and I checked all the ingredients in the sangria. Despite their high confidence about gluten free options I had a clear reaction to the meal.
Server had celiac and through the entire experience the service was great. Plenty of options, brought me separate hummus and veggies, etc.
Excellent meal. The food is amazing. While there is no specific gluten free menu, most of the food is naturally gluten free. We have celiac and are very sensitive. The manager made all of the waitstaff and the chef/kitchen aware of our gluten restrictions. Our waiter walked us through the menu and offered substitutions as needed. We will go back!
