Always enjoy a great meal at Eureka! The only downside is last time I was in the menu didn't have gf labeling anymore :( but everything can be served on a bed of lettuce instead of a bun, double check before ordering certain dressings. Recommend the sweet potato fries!
You can get it with GF bread or naked (lettuce wrapped). They make your patty on a separate grill (if you want bacon or fried food on it it's on the regular grill) they have a great pear cider too! May be bringing in a new GF beer! :) if you're GF, this is the place to go!
They didn't have items I could order straight off the menu, but my waiter was super helpful! He checked with the chef for what items had flour and what went into the frier. (The fries are not celiac-friendly.) I was able to get a bun-less veggie patty without fries, and it was great!
They have a new menu and it's a HUGE step backwards. Items are no longer marked gf. It used to be easy to eat here safely and now its a lot more work. It seems this location is marketing the hipsters from the local colleges & doesn't really care about people with celiac or gluten sensitivity anymore. We won't be returning.
Up front I'd like to say Eurka! does have tasty food and the staff are friendly but I will never go back again. My mom has Celiac's disease and we'd eaten a Eureka! a few times with no incident so it landed a place on the tiny 'safe' list of restaurant in the area. My family came down for my graduation and the first night they were here we decided to go to Eureka! for dinner. This was a serious mistake. My mom told the waitress she had Celiac's and asked if the street tacos were safe for her to eat. The waitress assured her they were gluten free. Fast forward to after dinner. I took my family to a good friend's recital. My family had never met any of my friends and it was so important to me that they were introduced and it was so important that we got to see my friend play. Since I'm graduating I'll never see some of these friends again or I won't see them for a long time. About half way through the recital my mom started to feel sick and ran up to the bathroom. I sat with her for an hour in the bathroom while she repeatedly threw up. She was so sick she had to bring a trash can in the car to make it back to the hotel. In short my mom got incredibly ill and missed half of a special recital because Eureka! clearly can't do gluten free. Do not go here. This review is cross-posted on Yelp.
Staff was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free, happy to substitute sauces etc. Not a lot of options as far as sides. However, all of their burgers can be prepared over a bed of arugula and they have a few taco and salad offerings. Delicious!
This place is more than willing to find a gluten-free option for any of their guests. The management and staff have made it a point to check recipe books to make sure items contains no gluten. It is also helpful that all the food is made to order and fresh, so if anything needs to be omitted it is easily done. Great food, great atmosphere and helpful staff. I suggest getting any of there burgers served naked which is on a bed of arugula that has been tossed in a lemon vin. or lettuce wrapped.
Amazing burgers. Served lettuce wrapped or I take them on a bed if arugula and use a fork and knife. Only complaint is that they apparently have amazing truffle fries but don't use a dedicated fryer. I get a side salad which is always very good. Go early because there is usually a decent wait.
The waiter or manager has to tell you what the gluten free choices are. I had the fish tacos and got sick. Not a very good selection for gluten free. It's a super small, noisy environment. If you don't like sports, beer or burgers then this is not the place for you.
Was able to get the fish tacos here, which were SO stinkin' tasty! I was really impressed. However, that's about all a Celiac can safely eat here. Too bad they don't have a dedicated fryer for French fries and what not...that would really open up the menu options. If you go here, ask for the manager so you don't get cross contaminated. :)
We were going to go but after researching there web sight and seeing that all there fryers are not dedicated we just kinda thought whats the point of going for a bunless burger with no fries or any side dish. I wish they would have just one dedicated fryer. They say they can make many things gluten free but a lot are fried items so there not really gluten free if they don't have dedicated fryers are they?
