I didn’t get sick the first time but someone told me they had a bison burger so now I have to try it again for the team. I’m very sensitive even to oats so I’ll let y’all know, I did specify the need for allergy protocol the first time and that has made a world of difference whether or not I get sick at restaurants. I want to avoid explaining celiac sadly not every server has knowledge on celiac unfortunately or that level of sensitivity, even if you’re asymptomatic, these tricks help you stay happy and healthy :)
Went to Eureka tonight and they were really great at accommodating my Gluten intolerance. I am super sensitive to cross contamination but they did a wonderful job accommodating my meal to ensure that I would have zero issues and my meal was great and no issues. I had the Eureka burger on a Gluten free bun. There is no designated fryer but there were sides that I could have and the Brussel sprout appetizer they made for me in a separate frying pan to avoid cc.
In the mood for burgers while touring East Fremont Street but unsure where to go. Randomly checked Eurekas! menu by the door and it listed plenty of burger options and a gluten free bun option for their burgers and there was no waiting (early Sunday evening about 5:30 P.M) so we went in. Asked about their fries and were assured they were gluten free. Food was really good and I had no annoying gluten contamination symptoms afterwards. A solid GF option, in my opinion. They even have gluten reduced beer and I was tempted to give it try but didn’t risk it.
Got the double smash burger with gluten free bun. Server was knowledgeable about cross contamination and fries are not safe there. However the spicy mayo on the burger has gluten in it and I wasn’t told that until it was already on my burger. Solid burger but expensive and not a ton of gf options here besides salads
The server was very sweet and attentive and made sure our needs were taken care of! I’m not sure if there’s a way to communicate celiac to the kitchen because the burger with gf bun came with fries (there is no dedicated fryer) but the server noticed and took the fries off without us needing to say anything and my partner with very sensitive celiac didn’t have a reaction. Cons: gf items are not marked so it really is up to the knowledge of the server and there are not many options (basically salads and some of the burgers if you sub the bun)
Seamless experience. Jasmine was our server and she knew exactly how to explain the process of ordering and how to let the kitchen know about my GF requirements. Had the gluten free Fresno burger. She told me I would need to switch the spicy mustard to regular yellow mustard. Could not eat anything fried, but the side salad was really fresh. Will be going back.
They do have a gf bun but it was so bad I ended up just taking it off and eating the burger bunless. Burger was meh, wouldn’t come back. Didn’t get sick but I’ve had way better burgers.
