Review of Euro Lounge Café

I was assured that the gluten-free crepes at this place were prepared and fried separately, so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, besides the apparent attempts to minimize cross-contamination, there were several disappointments that influenced my rating:

1) The service was really slow. We waited for over an hour for our food because there was only one person working, operating both the cash register, bussing, and the kitchen. Other customers complained or left. Mind you, this lack of staffing occurred late in the morning on a Saturday, when high volumes of customer traffic should be expected. At least, we were offered a free coffee on our next visit.

2) When my food finally arrived, I checked whether I was really receiving the gluten-free version. It turned out I was about to be offered a regular, gluten crepe. Due to the incident, I hesitated before marking this place as “celiac friendly”. Checking is always good, but one shouldn't have to check when ordering gluten-free.

3) I finally ended up getting my correct, gluten-free order, which tasted slightly disappointing. While the gluten-free Euro Lounge Famous Veggie Crepe was very large, big enough for a full meal, it was lacking a bit in flavor. The veggies also appeared to have been sauteed in a hurry and were on the raw side. I was informed by others at my table that the sweet crepes were very good.

Overall, this cafe was very disappointing, and I don't think I would recommend it or eat here again.
