I suppose that if this place named itself “Some of the best pizza you’ll ever have” they’d be buried in search results, but that name might just get them attention they clearly deserve. From the moment you walk in, the staff are warm and helpful. The ambience is relaxed and quiet, with distinctively European melodies playing in the background—concertinas and all. Yes, they sell European specialties off the shelf for you to take home—thus, “market” is no lie—including huge cans of peppers. But it’s what they serve from the menu that gets the five-star review. The pizzas are creative in concept and playful on the palate, with complex interplay between carefully selected cheeses and toppings—mushrooms with Gouda and fontina, and a drizzle of truffle oil, for example. And the crust—not too thick, not too thin, and not so crispy that you’ll forget it is really good bread. Oh, and they do that gluten-free, too! If you are in Georgetown, or anywhere in the vicinity, this place is definitely worth a stop-in. Some of the best pizza you’ll ever have.
