My boyfriend is Celiac, and this is hands down his favorite spot to eat out. His favorite two menu items are the gluten free wings and gluten free onion rings, which he's been ordering everytime we visit for a year now--never any problems afterwards :) They also have gluten free fries, burger buns, and beer, though we haven't tried those! They do NOT have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, so if that is something you know you need, steer clear.Unrelated to the gluten free options, this is a truly unique and charming spot that I love. EXP is a videogame-themed bar, and if you are the type of person whose ears perk up at that concept, you will not be disappointed with your EXP-erience here :) From the big screens playing live videogame let's-plays, to the bouncey remixes of classic mario and zelda themes that weave their way underneath the sounds of lively chatter, to the adorable video-game themed mixed drinks (Red Dead Lemonade, anyone? Or maybe you'd like to choose between Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle as your starting shot?), this kitschy venue with a heart of gold embraces to the fullest the culture to which it pays homage. One note: EXP does not accept reservations, and they can get pretty packed, especially on Friday nights. If you want to guarantee a table on a hot night, you'll have to arrive in person when they open their doors at 5!
