Fairmont Grand Del Mar is actually the name of the hotel and the restaurant inside, with poolside service, it is called Amaya. They have a handful of good options that are marked GF on the menu. At least I thought they were marked, but it doesn't look like it online, so maybe the online menu isn't up-to-date or a server told me what on the menu was GF. I also talked to a manager-type on the first day of my stay who ran through their options. He said they have GF bread and can make anything with bread GF, like burgers and French toast. He seemed really knowledgeable. He said they don't have a dedicated fryer, so their fries aren't GF. I ordered a salad with ahi tuna that was delicious, and I did not notice any problems after.

I went to the spa here and spent the day by the pool. At the pool, I ordered a hamburger and was delighted to learn they had a separate gluten free fryer for fries, gluten free buns, and a dedicated gluten free grill. Most importantly, the burger was sooooo good - the best I’ve had in recent memory.
