I ordered the poached egg on gf toast and added avocado which was 3£ extra, it was good. But way overpriced in my opinion. Server asked if I had any allergies and if i was okay with cross contamination and i said it was fine bcs i don't like being an inconvenience 💅🏼 but I know i should have said no to spread awareness.
Had a cappuccino and it was spectacular for being the UK, have a suspicion it might be because some workers were Italian 🙏🏼
Menu clearly labeled and servers were very knowledgeable about allergens. Got the pancakes and a size of eggs and it was delicious!
Not a good experience. First thing I was asked when enquiring about gluten free was ‘do you mind cross contamination’. I had to explain that I am aware there is a risk but yes, I mind it as I have coeliac disease and that everything to prevent it needs to be done. Little confidence, then the drinks came out in unclean cups and the cutlery was also unclean. Not only was this gross, but I don’t know what the cutlery was dirty with. Could’ve been a gluten containing foodstuff! Waitress was then dismissive when we asked for new, clean things as if this was too much of an ask. Honestly don’t waste your time, most anxiety provoking brunch I’ve had in a long time. Should’ve left when I had the chance. Can’t comment on a reaction as I am asymptomatic but I wouldn’t trust it. Shame because there are some good reviews which is why I went.
When I came yesterday to The Farm Girl I was immediately welcomed by Sergio who served our table.
For my meal, I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs.
My partner had The Farm Breakfast plate, which was delicious!
I recommend this place!
A charming coffee place with an extensive gluten-free selection for celiacs. The staff is friendly and well-informed. I highly suggest trying the apple pancakes – the portion size is quite generous. My friends opted for savory breakfasts, and the sandwiches were all delicious. However, the coffee and cappuccino could be better.
i called ahead and they said that they use a different pan to make the GF pancakes but said they wouldn’t recommend for life threatening allergies. i takes to the waitress to double check when i got to the restaurant and she marked my order as “celiac”. pancakes were delicious and the coffee was excellent
Great GF breads and any sandwich could be made with GF. Cookies and Brownies also an option.
I had the pancake! Was enough for 2 people, interesting flavors, moist, and very thick. Would recommend
Really looked forward to going here but they refused to serve me due to being coeliac. They said they can serve customers with a gluten intolerance but not if you are coeliac because of the cross contamination in the kitchen. It may have just been the staff that were working that day but worth just being cautious if you’re coeliac as you’ll end up being disappointed like me
They could almost make everything gluten free and Many options like pancakes were natrually gluten free
