holy YUM. The chips and salsa are so good and actually have flavor to them, I almost ate the whole bowl (and they chips are in a safe fryer - YAY!)
I got the pork & pineapple taco, which was just okay compared to the lamb quesabirria with consomé. Oh my god I could’ve DRANK the consomé and licked the plate clean. SO good.
The tortillas are corn for the tacos, but they do have flour - so just make sure to check and state you have an allergy for the extra precautions! I did not get sick (besides eating way too much!)
Happily surprised and impressed!! I was here for drinks with a friend and was getting hungry and knew I needed to eat so I asked the waitress about their GF options and she knew her stuff. I also only prompted asking about the GF options and cross contamination protocol and she said all the main things you want to hear and more without me explicitly asking. She said the chips are done in their own fryer and did warn there is soybean oil in them in case that’s a problem. She said for tacos and that sort they wipe down the counter, etc. and that even if you are still uncomfortable with that, then they’re happy to make the tacos on a bed of lettuce. And this was all said with a simple question on protocol and on a Saturday evening at 8pm so a very busy time! I ended up just having guac and chips and had no problems at all and I’m fairly sensitive and aware of even the slightest CC. All in all would highly suggest
I was a little hesitant about going here since GF options weren’t labeled on the menu. Once we sat down and I asked, the staff knew right away that most things on the menu were gluten free and they could avoid cross contamination. Both tacos I had (steak and pork&pineapple) were delicious. I did not get sick!
