We got 5 gluten free pizzas, no one got sick and it was a great experience. 2 pizzas were oh so slightly over done, but we ate everything! Great crispy crust and delicious flavors. The manager, Ryan, took our order on the phone and made sure everything was safe. Subbed off fried onions on one pizza and doubled checked that the BBQ drizzle was indeed gluten free. They have dedicated space and 2 dedicated ovens. It took about 45 min to complete our order - bigger order, only 2 ovens and other customers in the restaurant. A small tradeoff for safe and tasty pizza. Definitely will come here again!
The pizza was phenomenal…and I felt awesome afterwards. They can do nearly all their pizzas gf…no Alfredo or meatballs but that that only eliminates one or two pizzas. I had the murphy’s pizza…a version of a buffalo chicken pizza. My non gf family all said their food was awesome…a great place for everyone.
Seriously incredible staff- I sat at the bar and said I had a severe gluten allergy- they have an entirely separate space they prepare the pizzas AND separate ovens to cook them!! I tried to order one of the speciality pizzas at first but the bartender determined the Alfredo sauce had flour in it without me having to ask or anything- totally saved me from a night of pain!! Cannot recommend this place enough- cool vibe and good cocktails, too :)
We’ve always been a fan of Felix’s.
I was so happy to hear that they have 2 dedicated GF pizza ovens! They offer GF pizza in 12” crusts and you can order any pizza on the menu GF. This is refreshing as I’ve found this hard to come by in STL. The crust was cooked through and not soggy, and had sufficient crisp which I liked. The toppings were good and not overcooked. I built my own with just cheese and peppered bacon and enjoyed the flavor.
Appetizers were not particularly gluten friendly (except maybe the hummus without pita if you confirmed spices used but I didn’t bother asking as I didn’t wan an app), and I also didn’t inquire about salad dressings so cannot speak to those.
I will say we ate in the store and I am not a fan of how they currently do service (on the phone and all self order instead of having servers). It made for some confusion with a larger group and I would have loved to have asked some questions regarding my allergy at the table. I simply went to the host and asked and they were very accommodating and kind so it wasn’t a big issue just inconvenient. I prefer a normal, standard service when I’m sitting down at a restaurant instead of being on my phone ordering. But the menu was well marked with the GF detail which helped and they made it easy to confirm and put in notes.
Great choice for GF pizza!
