We ordered a burger, and the Gluten Free bread was amazing. Normally we only eat the bread that helps bring the food to our mouth, but it was so good we made sure there weren't any scraps. They also have a delicious amaretto cheesecake that is Gluten Free. I would highly recommend going to Fiddlehead if you are visiting the area. Plus it's right next to the outlet mall

Traveling with Celiac Disease means that meals are generally pre-planned and pit stops are rare because my diet must be strictly gluten free, making me apprehensive of most restaurants. In this case, my mom and I are glad that we made an exception when we stopped off on our way from Chicago to Michigan. To make things brief: this restaurant had the very best gluten-free food I have ever had, and an incredible grass-fed burger as well. The fryer there is dedicated (entirely gluten free) and the fries were exceptional, perfectly crispy, which helped us understand why one of the appetizers is simply a bucket of fries. I had the Hipster, a spicy pulled pork sandwich, and the waiter recommended bangin' sauce for the fries. The receipt had a clearly marked allergy warning, which made us feel good about the food we just ate. They also offered vegan options. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone and would return if ever in the area again. It was worth going several miles off the highway as it was located in a quaint area of town surrounded by art installations and vibrant flowers. The atmosphere was lovely, and the doorway was surrounded by black-and-white photographs of the owner's military and police family members, which made us feel at home as a military family ourselves. The waitstaff was personable and wonderful. They were immediately familiar with the word Celiac and reassured me instantly that the fryer was dedicated before I even asked. It was clear that the waiter understood the accommodations necessary for my disease. The gluten free bread was soft and not grainy at all (as it sometimes can be). We were so grateful to have found this hidden gem.

Update 5/5/17 : One of the original owners has left the business and it feels completely different. They've changed the decor, the music, and the food wasn't as good. My steak wasn't cooked to temp, and I've never had such overcooked asparagus. The atmosphere used to feel family friendly, now it seems more hipster-club, including light house lounge music. The hostess didn't smile, and while we've had the waiter before and he was very nice...it doesn't seem like a happy atmosphere anymore. I think we're done, the food just wasn't super good. I've heard they lost their best chef. Which makes me sad, but it just wasn't enjoyable. **ORIGINAL Review: Been here twice now. one of the clearest labeled menus I've seen here in the Midwest, with tons of options including fried foods! ALL of their fried items are gluten free. I highly recommend their fried fiddlehead appetizer, seemed weird, but now its one of my favorite options. It is not an entirely gf kitchen, but their staff is extremely conscious of dietary restrictions, and our waitress was also gluten intolerant. they also have several dessert options and they were the best I've had in a really really long time. Felt totally safe here, even with a party of 12. Highly recommend!

I thought I'd died and went to Heaven The menu had their gluten free options right on it. They have a dedicated work space as well as a dedicated deep fryer. It was the 1st time in over 18 years that I have been able to purchase a perch dinner with fries , coleslaw, and a gluten free lager. I have Celiac Disease and can not do any type of gluten without getting deathly sick, it has been over 6. hours and no reaction what so ever I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

I'm Celiac and vegetarian so not many options for GF food, but I had GF pasta with marinara that was excellent. My baked potato was also good. Non-Celiac husband had the perch which he said was very tasty. They said they carry GF bread, but didn't have any when we visited.

what a great surprise! We were shopping at the local outlet mall and found this reataurant on this app. The waitress was gf so she was great. My daughter who is celiac had their fries and burger on gf bread with a gf onion ring on top! It is so nice stumbling up on a place like this.. just wish it were closer to my home! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Tried restaurant because it was rated high on gf app. Regular menu has a few gf and vegan choices noted on it, I was told its their only menu. Mostly salads listed as gf but menu states they have gf bread. I ordered fiddlehead burger with Swiss, lettuce, and tomato, on udis gf bread, and fries after being told they would be gf. I had a reaction almost immediately. Probably due to cross contamination from my bread being grilled, likely on the same grill that grills all buns for sandwiches. in still new at dining out gf but learning I need to be less trusting with restaurants.
