Celiac & asked if they could please change their gloves. The worker was very rude and said “we’ll do our best, I guess.” They do not seem to care about food allergies, so I would not recommend if you have an issue with cross-contamination.
They offer GF bread for their subs, with two caveats. 1) only comes in medium size 2) they can't gaurantee it won't be cross contaminated.
If you're merely gluten sensitive rather than celiac, this is still a great place to eat. The subs are really great.
While I don't know much about their sandwich ingredients, Their gluten free bread is so good. I'm not typically a Schar fan,this bread is awesome.

They have gluten free rolls that are individually packaged. I usually call ahead to order and make sure they aren’t out of the GF rolls first. They’ll make any of their sandwiches on the GF roll and it takes great.
A Worker told me how to make the sandwich gluten free and was so sweet.(was my first time)if I eat gluten it will make me sick to the stomach love that they have a gluten free option.🫶🏼didn’t hurt my stomach at all.
I love that they offer gluten-free rolls and my favorite is "The Engineer" hoagie sandwich with sautéed mushrooms and onions on top. If you are extremely sensitive, there may be CC issues since they make subs with gluten bread. But I have not had any problems at Firehouse Subs, and have eaten at many different ones, quite a few times.
Very good subs and take extra care when I ask.
Excellent GF sub I asked them to take extra care as I react bad. They said they would. I waited a full day before leaving this review to make sure. No reaction at all! And the sub was awesome! I had the hook and ladder and they heated it.
