Just because I can't eat wheat does not mean I am also paleo and vegan. I really hate when places lump these diets together into a single recipe because in my experience, nothing good ever comes from that. That holds true for 5 Daughters.
Their gluten-free free, grain free, sugar free, vegan donuts are one of, if not the worst, things I've eaten on my wheat free odyssey. Seriously, they were a wet brick and the vegan frosting (no offense to vegans) was gross in its consistency. It had no flavor. Zero.
Not only that but a few bites into my second donut I was hit with stomach pains and cramping. I don't know what it was but you guys can imagine the rest.
Admittedly, this place doesn't advertise itself as a haven for people with food allergies, but if you're going to put it on your menu, at least make it correctly so as not to sicken people. Go at your own risk. Rant over.
