Review of Flame Cantina

They do not have a dedicated fryer for non-gluten foods. Be aware there are multiple items marked on the menu as GF but are heavily cross contaminated by the shared fryer. This includes chips and salsa, quesa birria tacos, nachos, fish tacos, taquitos, etc. The entire menu is very small to begin with, which I wouldn't mind if I could eat everything on it. When you remove the heavily cross contaminated items that are incorrectly marked as GF you are left with little choices. Because of this I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease. There is a Mexican restaurant in the East Village just East of downtown DSM that has a dedicated gluten free kitchen. I can't find any reason to personally return to Flame.
