Flax Steakhouse

I had high hopes for this place. It smelled amazing outside. The waitress that took our order was a little rude. I explained to her that I have celiac, she said she understood. She told me the onion rings are not gluten free. So my steak could not have onion rings. When they brought my steak out it had onion rings on top of it, so I asked the person who brought it out if it was GF. She said no. But she was going to fix it. Less than 30 secs later she brought me my steak. All she did was take of the onion rings off and brought it back out. I told her I can not have cross contamination, she said no problem she would fix it. Less than 30 seconds later she brought out the same same steak again. I explained that this steak was cross contaminated and I couldn't eat it. She said no no it's good I put it on a new plate. She couldn't understand that the onion rings being on top the steak contaminated it. Stay away if you get sick from cross contamination. Thay are clueless here.

This place.....wow! So many gf options to choose from. I had the chicken wings to start and they were amazing. Followed by the sharing platter (chicken, steak and pork chop) which they adapted to make gluten free. All items from the grill and all sauces are gluten free🙌 A separate clean fryer was used for gf chips. Staff were really knowledgeable and happy to address any concerns. All in all a fantastic experience! Would highly recommend!
