Best Chinese I’ve ever had and many things can be made gluten free! The sauces are light but so flavorful. Veggies aren’t over cooked. Atmosphere is fun. I had the Shanghai chicken and the chicken fried rice. Both were lovely. I shared these dishes with another person, and we both left feeling full (unlike typical American Chinese where you are hungry again an hour later.) No cross-contamination issues.
Great experience! Waiter was accommodating and made sure it was gluten free. I would recommend asking them to use different pans/utensils. Not sure if this is a common practice for them. The food was amazing! I got the fried rice with steak. Didn’t get sick at all.
I told the waiter I was celiac and he went through the menu to tell me what could be modified to be gluten free; the list was extensive. Ordered drunken noodles with tofu and a side of stir fried vegetables. They also brought out a chile tray with two gf chile options plus gf soy sauce for the vegetables, which came simply stir fried.
I was nervous about the tofu, which was deep fried (I'd stupidly assumed it would be soft, I'm still new at this), but the food was wonderful and I didn't get sick.
Ate here twice on my recent Savannah trip and it was AMAZING. Food was flavorful and options were varied, and I appreciated that so much I walked ten blocks out of my way to eat here again before leaving town. Chicken and veggies in brown sauce and Mongolian beef were delicious, with the chicken winning for flavor and veggie assortment. Highly recommend!
Hostess and server both well versed in gf. Many menu items can be made gf with modifications (ie steamed protein vs fried). Fried rice is NOT an option. Noodles are (except lo mein obviously). Had the Shanghai noodles. Massive serving. Not a lot of flavor and pretty greasy, but definitely appreciate the place. Would try a rice based dish next time.
My husband and I went here for dinner last night and I wanted to make sure I didn’t have a reaction before giving a review. I was nervous after getting the menu because they had a GF symbol on the menu key and NOTHING had that symbol by it. My server said they could make most things GF, which wasn’t helpful and a little overwhelming. I got the egg drop soup and it was delicious. I also got the sesame chicken with white rice. It was pretty good. I would try it again. I would probably take it to go if I did get food there because it is a crowded restaurant and our server was sub-par. There were also lots of loud drunk people being obnoxious on a Sunday night, which made the dining experience less than desirable. I was just happy to have GF Chinese food since it is so hard to find!
They use gluten free soy sauce and have many gluten free options.
