Great options for GF! Beautiful restaurant right on the water, some tables even in the water! Had gf bread to start, majority of apps were labeled gf and then was told majority of entrees can be modified to be gluten free. Initially my meal came out with pasta ( was told there is no gf pasta) our waitress took the situation very seriously and ensured my meal was re made completely and had the food come out asap. She apologized profusely for the misunderstanding on her staff. Really appreciate the knowledge of our waitress and did not get sick from the food
Reservations are a must! We made reservations not expecting to have our feet in the water, however once we got there we had a table in the water at the edge with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The grilled red snapper was absolutely delicious. Our waitress came back from the kitchen to discuss my gf diet and my options with me.
Amazing the waiter said mostly everything can be made gluten free without cross contamination. They brought me out gf bread without even asking after he asked our table if we had any allergies. He said all of the sauces are gluten free and the risotto and mashed potatoes are too. Waiter confirmed gluten allergy and was great! They had a gf crème brûlée too
Had the best dinner in Aruba here. Husband has a gluten allergy and he was perfectly fine after his meal. Book way in advance to sit in the water.
The Flying Fishbone was 10 out of 10. We showed up at 9, no reservation, even though they were full they seated us at a great table 10 min later. I explained that it's past the little 2 year old's bed time and we need the food fast, and boy did they deliver! They had amazing GF food. I kid you not. The prices were high but totally worth it, not like West Deck. I highly, highly recommend it. Everything was exquisitely done, with taste and was delicious. I got the catch of the day - Unicorn fish with veggies, wine sauce and rice, my husband got the other catch of the day, red snapper with mashed potatoes and veggies,my kids got chicken portobello, fried calamari and Cesar salad. The chicken was the most tender one I have tried in a long, long time. Dinner for 5 with drinks (2 alcoholic ones) was $230(tip included). I wish we visited this place first. P.S: Superfoods market has everything you need to cook at home GF, just FYI.
Hands down best dinner ambiance. Some items marked on the menu as gluten free, a lot can be modified to be made gluten free. Waiter was confident that he could make the salmon gluten free. It was absolutely delicious - BUT got very sick when we got back from the restaurant. 100% glutened. Just be careful if you are celiac, should have probably just ordered a salad.
Not quite sure how to rate this place. My son didn't get sick, they offered gluten free bread, and brought out boxes of juice for me to check labels to see if they were safe for my celiac son. The server and hostess seemed clueless and did not leave me with much confidence to the point that we considered leaving. I had emailed them along with our reservation and they said they were able to provide a safe meal for my celiac son. When I attempted to confirm that they would use separate utensils and clean grill space for his food, the waiter looked at me like I was crazy and said they couldn't. Then said, nothing on the grill contained gluten. I asked him to please confirm with the kitchen that they felt they could prepare him a safe meal and I got vague "I told them and hopfully they will do their best!" Like I said, he didn't get sick and maybe kitchen is trained but server certainly wasn't!
Beautiful restaurant. Gf options on menu. Staff was very accomadating.
