What a find!!
A perfect stop for a snack while wandering the neighborhoods of lower manhattan. They have a couple small tables inside and a few outside to sit and enjoy your treats.
Only one ingredient in the whole place contains gluten—the fried shallots used on the savory tofu pudding. Because of this, we stayed away from the neighboring savory ingredients and went with the sweet tofu pudding options instead. Warm, silky smooth, delicious! The toppings were an interesting textural adventure. The homemade taro balls were our favorite of the ones we tried. Delightfully chewy rice cakes also made for a wonderful sweet afternoon snack.
My two suggestions: serve hot tea to go with the cakes and make the fried shallots GF because that’s all it would take for this place to be perfect for the GF community.
I’ll come back as often as I can make it. Highly recommend.

According to the staff, everything is gluten free except for the fried shallots topping which they put on the savory puddings which you can request to be removed. Everything else is gluten-free and low risk for contamination as a result. I had one of the sweet puddings and it was really delicious. Definitely check it out if you’re in chinatown.
