Health foods store that offers a panini cafe and baked goods. Good place to stock up on allergen-friendly packaged foods.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the panini cafe if you are a sensitive celiac. I ordered one and mentioned my disease and the risk of cross contact. I was met by attitude from the staff. They did not change their gloves, placed a wheat-based panini on the same grill as mine, with the two touching as they cooked. When done, they stacked the wheat-based panini on top of mine to carry it to the cutting board. They used the same knife, cutting the wheat-based one first, then mine, only wiping with a used rag in between.
We sadly had to throw the panini out due to the high risk of reaction, and also tossed the baked goods since we couldn’t be certain how safe they were after our interaction. My friend called to mention our concerns and was met with even more attitude from the manager, who stated they “don’t cater to those allergens here” despite being listed online as a gluten friendly facility and having half of their grocery store dedicated to gluten free items. They tote that they are a facility for gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options.
Overall, there’s a decent selection of packaged foods, but I cannot recommend the bakery items or panini cafe in good faith to anybody with allergen concerns.
