Frankie's Pizza

Ordered online before our flight to Hilo, requested in notes the gf cauliflower crust be gf for my significant other as he is celiac. They either mixed the pizza toppings, or have the best cauliflower crust I’ve ever seen. His pizza came full gluten.. he had 1 slice and didn’t eat the rest of the pie, and didn’t want to have mine as we weren’t sure if it was full gluten.

Taste or regular pizza was great, easy to order online for pick up. Would double check before leaving restaurant it is truly gf. Luckily we had a granola bar for his as e everything else was closed in the area.

Worker understood celiac. Offered to clean pizza prep station to safely make cauliflower crust pizza. She knew that none of the meats were packaged as gluten free, so I got a pineapple and veggie pizza. This is a rare establishment where I can eat pizza without mild symptoms from cross- contamination.

This is a little take-out only place on the way to the volcano but it’s a legit GF pizza with good safety measures (wipe down surfaces). And probably the cheapest meal in Hawaii. We were hoping for fresh pineapple but it’s a good pizza.

Gluten free pizza was very tasty, and even though it was cauliflower crust, my doughyer did not detect it. As soon as I make my order, the cashier asked the line to clean all surfaces, knifes and cutters. Pizza was made on a dedicated pan. My daughter was very happy, and no tummy aches.
