Definitely not gluten-free friendly. At least they are kind enough to post a notice that basically tells you that they don't care to even try to help people with allergies. Fryers in shared oil, etc. I would have zero confidence eating here. My son ate and I watched.
Called and asked if the fries were in a shared fryer. Answer was no, just French fries. Walked in and they looked delicious. Asked again at the counter because I wanted to make double sure. The fries are fried in the same fryer as the battered onion rings that are not gluten free. Walked out and went to Five Guys.
Freddy's does not offer a gluten-free bun or a dedicated fryer. However they do offer a lettuce wrapped burger and Baked Lays potato chips as a side option. In addition the allergen information on their website also identifies the chili, custard, and several toppings do not contain gluten. We always inform the staff that she is celiac and must strictly avoid gluten. She has never had any problems after eating at Freddy's. Freddy's is one of our main go to for a quick lower risk gluten free meal.
My experience here was fantastic!! The guy ringing me up could tell I was nervous. I asked if the custard also goes through a machine with toppings, and he said yes. So he personally made me a single scoop and made sure it didn’t touch anything. It was a very wonderful gesture, and I would definitely come back for the custard! I don’t know much about the food options. I wouldn’t try to eat that here.
