I’ve had some sandwiches and the waffles so far and they were really good. I’m not celiac but I’ve not had any issues eating there. They press the sandwiches and they are amazingly good. I also really love their chai latte. And my fiancée loves their coffee beans.
Waffles were so drrrryyyyy. Tried to pour syrup on them and let them sit to soak in and hope they were better. They were not. Coffee was great though.
I’m local to nola and this is one of the coffee shops i go to on a regular basis. they have such great gf options and accommodate really well. I’ve gone at least twice a month for a few years and i’ve only gotten sick once which is really good. there’s also an option to order ahead online where you can be such specific about allergies and adjustments and not feel like you’re taking a while in line. They have good gf bread that they will sub in for any of the sandwiches, biscuits, so croissants (and it doesn’t cost extra!!!). They also have a dedicated space for gf waffles which are so good!
I did enjoy my experience at French Truck Cafe! The coffee was great and it was a great study environment. They do offer gf options. I ate a scone that was gf and was amazing! If you are super sensitive, you might be hesitant of their baked goods as it looked like their gf baked goods were in the same case as their gluten baked goods. There's distance between them but something to consider with your own level of sensitivity.
This location has delicious gluten free waffles. Not sure if celiac friendly
