Review of Frijoles Colorado

Initially I called to find out if there were gluten free options, as I’ve heard amazing things about Frijoles (it was recommended by Virgilio, who owns the best Italian restaurant for gluten free eating). The owner answered and was so helpful, knew all ingredients used, and never acted annoyed in any way at my list of questions. We were there on a Saturday so we tried the chicken paella, the most amazing comfort food I’ve ever tried. We also got a Cuban sandwich, in which they used tostones for the gluten free “bread” option. It was SO unique and good! Due to the limited amount of gluten used in the restaurant and their knowledge of it I wasn’t too concerned about cross contamination and didn’t get sick. I will definitely be back as often as possible!
