Review of From Across the Pond

I'm struggling with what to write in this review because From Across The Pond clearly has a reputation of being a safe restaurant and the onion rings are so crispy and delicious. But just like any other establishment, it all depends on the employees you interact with. We stopped in for lunch and were literally the only people in the whole place. Our waitress was eager to explain their GF foods and back story. She was friendly and polite. But even after multiple conversations about me having Celiac and everything needing to be GF, my husband's salad came out with croutons on it. When he pointed it out she said, "So you're gluten free, too?" She clearly hadn't listened. We were seated near the kitchen and heard her return the salad to the chef. She said, "This needs to be gluten free, so no croutons." He replied, "Ohhhhhhh yeah." Yikes. I was certain I was going to get sick, but I didn't. The food was really good, especially the onion rings, but it was a very anxious meal for me. Be extra-super-mega-vigilant here.
