Ordered the burger and specified a GF bun due to celiac. I received a burger on a regular bun with french fries. I told the girl at the pickup window that this wasn't a GF bun and was told 'I just work here.' The assistant manager overheard me and asked for a GF bun and proceeded to place my burger on the GF bun. I asked for a manager and explained that I cannot eat the burger. The manager said that he would correct it. I was told that Fuddruckers doesn't have a dedicated fryer so I was unable to eat the fries. The cooking staff is clueless and required the manager to correct their mistakes.
Ordered their gluten free bun. Not so sure I actually got it though. Felt horrible a few hours after eating and still feel horrible the next morning.
Knowledge staff and the gluten free bun tastes great! The fries are not gluten free but most of the staff warn you when ordering the GF bun. They do not butter or toast the bun as they do not have a separate area to toast. If you order a GF bun on the burger an no sides, then it is celiac friendly. Make sure to say it is an allergy and they will change their gloves and be considerate of the fact. Tested with our anima censor as Gluten Free.
they didn’t give me the gluten free bun, which you have to pay extra for. their fries also aren’t safe.
I ordered all our burgers on a gf bun and explained they had to be cooked separate. I repeated it a couple times. Cashier rang us up and we waited only to find one burger correct. I explained they were all suppose to be on a gf bun and the manager asked if they had to remake the burgers or can he just put them on new buns. I told him we would get sick if they did that. Our new order arrived and we were told the cashier never charged us for the buns and we would have to pay the difference or we couldn’t take the burgers, I paid even though it was clearly not our fault. On top of it all we got sick, I will never be going back again. Clearly unsafe and they have no idea what they are doing.
Delicious but even though they have a dedicated fryer for the fries, I had a reaction. I believe they didn’t clean the grill before putting my burger on it. I even went completely bunless. Haven’t reacted at Fudd’s before, so was probably lack of care in prep at this location.
Cashier didn’t know if fries were gf, had to ask her to find out! We ordered the gluten free bun, paid for our meal, sat down and the cook came out and said the buns were in the deep freeze and asked us if we wanted a bun less burger or a wheat bun burger! We did get our money back but I don’t know if we will ever be visiting this location again. Staff needs more knowledge on what gf is!
Inquired about if BBQ sauce was GF. Gal asked the manager to come speak to me. Manager was rude, stated the fries, burgers, GF buns were all GF and that is all she knew. I expressed the need to be GF. I received the fries which were loaded with a seasoning. I asked the gal giving out the food of the seasoning was GF, when she stated no. She then wanted to take my GF bun and burger off the plate and just get new fries. I told her it was CC and another customer walking up to the counter even confirmed what I had just said. They reluctantly made a new one, but was not happy about it. Be careful.
Wonderful bacon cheddar burger with GF bun. Shift leader was very concerned about my needs and made recommendations. He looked up the cheese to make sure it was GF. Gal that brought out food made a point of assuring my hubby it was GF. Will return!
Staff was familiar with their gluten free offerings and assured me I would be safe eating there. I had a cheeseburger on a gluten free bun with potato wedges (I requested no seasoning). I felt safe eating there, had no issues, and I will be back!
Ate a free birthday 1/3 lb burger there for lunch today because I'm on the email list. I do not have a problem with cross contamination, but was told that they would change gloves. The bun was one of the better gf buns I've had. Since gluten free buns are crumbly I wrap them in the wax paper they are served on, like burgers used to be wrapped. It keeps the buns from falling all apart while eating the burger. I had the sweet potato fries which needed to be hotter. But I asked for some of the fry sauce which made the cold fries taste better. The people were very friendly and helpful. Nice environment! I don't know how celiac friendly it is.
I've been to Fuddruckers several times since being diagnosed with Celiac's, and haven't gotten sick. Normally I get a burger (my favorite is the Hangover) on lettuce, with a side of apples. However, after hearing from multiple sources that the fries have a dedicated frier, I tried them, an again, no problems. Just be clear with the staff that they need to be careful with your food. I've been to two different locations, and the staff were helpful and responsive at both.
I ate here last weekend. was told they never put bread on the grill, it's in its own toaster. because of that they do not toast the GF buns. I had the hang over burger, very good and no symptoms. only bummer was they only had one type of chips and basically NO other sides for me.
The kid at the register was very knowledgeable about gluten-free and even informed me that though the fries are considered gluten-free, they are fried with all the other fried foods. I avoided the fries, enjoyed my burger with a gluten-free bun (prepared with separate gloves and not placed on the grill with other buns), and had a side salad. This Celiac person had no troubles!!
The manager couldn't tell me what dressing was gluten free. While corporate says the fries are in their own fryer, he said they do their best, but it's likely not GF. I didn't feel like eating a pile of meat and no salad or side. I was not confident based on their concern that even that could be safe. The reviews from a few years ago said the same, and it appears it hasn't changed. I sat and watched my son eat. I was so flustered, we should have just left and gone elsewhere.
Ordered a burger with gluten free bun and side salad. Had to second guess and ask if the bun was truly gluten free bc it looked so airy and tasty. It was and it was one of the best gluten-free burgers I've ever had. So happy and satisfied, would be five stars but the bun was $2 extra and just seemed a bit pricey, but worth it
Great Service! I have Celiac disease and my husband does not, but prefers gluten free food. The staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. My husband ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and they informed him that the fries were cooked in the same fryer as gluten containing food and double checked to make sure this would not make him sick. I ordered the gluten free bun and burger with a side salad mixed in a desperate bowl w/ no croutons. I had no digestive problems! Great food and service! Highly recommend!
Great experience with Kathleen, the manager, in Corpus Christi. When I asked the cashier about GF options, she immediately got the manager to go over all options. She spoke directly to my celiac and offered to bake her french fries. Kathleen made my child's dinner herself and informed us that the fry sauce has seasoning in it that contains wheat ingredients (spud seasoning) so we avoided that. No tummy aches but I can only say it's Celiac safe because the manager was amazing. Not sure if the rest of the staff would know what to do.
I called before I went to ask about gluten free options. Spoke to knowledgeable manager who explained to me how the GF bun is in a sealed wrapper to avoid contamination. The fries are not safe b/c they don't have a dedicated fryer. Glad to know I can still go out for a burger.
Wasn't my style I guess. The GF bun literally fell apart as my son and I tried to eat our burgers. I did like that there were so many options available for toppings to add after getting the burger. Tater tots and fries were OK. Not my favorite. I would go back if someone else wanted to go there, but neither my son nor I would choose to go there again.
The person taking my order was unsure of gluten free procedures. However, they did double check with management and reassured me that my chicken was cooked in a gluten free, dedicated area. The fries are also gluten free. They did cover my food to prevent from cross contamination while waiting for me to pick up. The restaurant itself is very clean. I left a happy customer!
I went there and waited through a long line to get to the register and be told the only thing they could safely offer for Celiacs is fries. Their burgers are not gluten free, and are prepared in the same area with the rest of their food. Even the milkshakes are not safe because they make Oreo cookie shakes and don't have a separate machine for mixing other shakes.
