Me and my friend have Celiac and we ate here after reading through these reviews! While they have plenty of options on the menu clearly marked, and GF soy sauce, we got terribly sick after eating here. I would not recommend for anyone who is allergic to Gluten! It was delicious, but not worth getting violently ill afterwards. We even double checked everything with our waiter before we ordered! They must have had something marked wrong or miscommunication in the kitchen.
Pains me to write a bad review for them since I have been successfully a few times, but they have gotten worse as far as safety goes. Was given regular soy sauce one time, so I since started asking for packets of the gf soy sauce so I could avoid mishap. Then I saw tempura flakes on my sushi roll after I said “allergy” so clearly they don’t take it seriously. And it wasn’t like purposeful tempura flakes where it was just the wrong roll or something, they clearly rolled mine where they had just rolled someone else’s with tempura flakes. Won’t go back, unfortunately.
It required a conversation with the manager as the waitress was not comfortable, but I had a delicious meal of General Gao chicken. They will individually wok-fry items for their celiac customers. Takes a little longer but worth the wait. Definitely recommended. I will try the sushi on my next visit.
THEY HAVE GF SHRIMP TEMPURA! Honestly this place has so many awesome GF options that I can’t even deal, amazing! And delicious!
Very helpful staff that seemed knowledgeable. Gave us a complimentary snack and when I mentioned I was GF, they brought me my own treat that was GF. Every time they brought food out, they remarked that it was GF, so it seemed like they were trying to be extra careful. Feel fine so far!
Great GF menu; they'll do a lot of sushi (they sub Rice Krispy for tempura flakes). Great fried rice. Didn't ask questions about dedicated space for cooking.
