Visiting Austin and ISO a safe GF breakfast. This cute little diner has a dedicated GF menu and the sever was very knowledgeable and helpful. Not a dedicated GF kitchen but I have celiac and had no issues with my breakfast. The eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, and a hot cocoa were all tasty and I had no digestive issues afterwards. Would definitely come back and recommend. You order at the counter than find a seat and the inside is very clean and has a cute “galaxy” theme that’s not overdone. Cute place for breakfast. Would also consider coming back for a different meal as they have lunch and dinner options as well.
This was a cute little retro place. And I was very excited to try it. They have a dedicated fryer, so you don’t worry about the fries. And a GF menu. And the Brie and turkey sandwich I got was tasty. So why only three stars, you ask? Because when they brought out my sandwich the bread looked just too good, so I asked the waitress to confirm it was GF. Turns out it wasn’t. Even though I had alerted the lady at the counter to my needs and she had even confirmed the menu for me. Thank god I didn’t just dig in!! Could have been disastrous.
Galaxy breakfast bowl was terrific! Staff was knowledgeable and specifically asked if we had a gluten allergy or celiac to she could alert the chef. They had GF cookies and muffins, which I didn't try because I was full from the bowl. The atmosphere is a throw back to Jestons era diners. Great place for large groups. You order at the counter and get a number and deliver it to your table.
Great little restaurant with a solid Gluten Free Menu. I had the GF Grilled Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious. Not something I usually say about a GF Sandwich. Service was great as well.
Sometimes I get a craving for creamy pasta and I really miss being able to go out to Italian restaurants to eat it. This place cured my cravings. I got the Arrabiata cream sauce pasta with chicken and it was amazing. So many other gluten free options on the menu too.
FRENCH FRIES!!! I haven't been diagnosed with celiac but wonder how accurate testing is based on how sensitive it appears I am to gluten and wheat - so bc I do not know the ins and outs of celiac - I am not comfortable with saying if this is a 100% celiac friendly place. What I can tell you, is that everyone was friendly, there was a huge array of gf options and the lady who helped us seemed knowledgeable and my gut instinct was not telling me to run like most other places! 3+ hours later....I feel great and I ate FRENCH FRIES!! No other fried items so the oil is not contaminated!
Awesome cafe for breakfast or lunch! Lots to choose from in the GF menu. Relaxing atmosphere, tasty eats, a must try when you're in Austin.
I have eaten plenty of times without issues but that changed yesterday. I got glutened from the gluten free pasta. Won’t be going back.
