Casual drop in for dinner. Very busy, but good was delicious. GF options without problem across most of the menu - you just need to ask. Wait staff knowledgeable. GF bread too.

I think better for dinner for gf. No bread option and gf offerings for lunch on the board, although marked, when it came out was not always gf. Delicious but would not recommend for casual tapas.

Loads of gluten free options. The pintxos and tapas are all clearly marked on the board. The menu for the restaurant is not marked but easy to navigate what is gf and not. We ate there last night no issues.

A good selection of gf pinxtos. We had the beef tenderloin, beef brochette and lamb brochette. It was all delicious. A very lively restaurant with the gf options clearly marked.

This place is so fun!
When I walked in, I initially walked right back out because it was so busy and I was worried staff wouldn’t want to answer my questions.
I asked a waitress and she assured me everything gluten free is cooked and fried separately and that the gluten free options stated on the menu are safe for coeliacs!
I went twice during my stay in San Sebastián and tried the following pintxo, sirloin steak, cheese croquette, risotto and pork cheese. You order with the bar staff, make sure to state gluten free, and then they had you a buzzer and you go and collect when your buzzer goes off. They state gluten free again when they give you the food.
It was sooo delicious and nice to have an authentic experience!

I found Gandarias to offer the most GFnoptioms. Staff were knowledgable and kept my GF choices separate. They also give you GF bread. It’s busy but we went twice.

Gluten free options were clearly marked but the setting was CHAOTIC and i was very nervous that the staff would make a mistake. We tried ordering a few tapas from the bar. Like other tapas bars, there is no seating. I think this would’ve been nice if we would have opted for a sit down full-service experience (or if we weren’t so tired from hiking the camino). After 1 round of tapas, we opted to leave for somewhere less expensive and less chaotic. I got some sort of meat kabob and a scallop. Both were delicious but expensive and small. I didn’t get sick.

San Sebastian is known for their pintxos and nearly every one on the menu was able to made gluten free. The menu is clearly marked in Basque, Spanish, French, and English.
The bar tender took our order and sent it to be made fresh from the kitchen on gluten free bread. Everything we ordered was rich and we'll seasoned. I recommend the Solomillo (steak) and the Pato (duck) especially.
Reasonable prices and great quality.

Had the sit-down experience here and it was delicious. I had to ask for the GF bread, but it came out warm and was a delicious complement to the meal. The servers were knowledgeable about what menu items had gluten and steered me the right way. A wonderful experience overall.

We visited San Sebastián in July 2022. My wife is GF and this place was the best for her. The menus are in all languages and the staff know about coeliac. The menu boards have an asterisk next to the pintxos that are available gluten free (or ‘sin gluten’ in Spanish). She had the grilled sirloin, scallop brochette and a duck breast brochette. Served with gluten free bread and washed down with the local Txakoli white wine. She loved it. Would recommend you visit about 5:30 to 6:00 pm as it’s difficult to get in after that. At 7:30pm, everyone is out around town.

After much searching through San Sebastián for a restaurant that was open and served gluten free pinxchos, not just gluten free dishes, we stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant. They had the menu clearly marked with which items were and were not gluten free on the wall and also had a hand sized gluten free only menu. They were very accommodating and made sure to understand who in our party needed gluten free food and who did not.

Great food, gluten free bread. They mark on the order that you are celiac and clear gf menu, most of it gf, even croquetas!
— Yes, the establishment is dedicated gluten-free

Best gluten free croquettes of our trip. They have their own gluten free menu and mark it on the bill. While it was quite busy, they made sure my food was safe.
Amazing restaurant! Was given a gluten free roll. Lots of options on the menu. The food was outstanding and I was really glad I was able to experience Basque food.
Yes
GF menu at both the restaurant and the tapas bar. Dedicated fryer so I could enjoy croquetas! Great wine list as well. Highly recommended.

Have a fabulous detailed GF menu! Steak is amazing!
Gandarias has a menu with gluten free items labeled and they have bread! You can order pintxos, raciones, and bocadillos. It gets busy but the waiters are nice and very knowledgeable. Try the tosta de queso de cabra con bacon.
