I had the GF pasta and also had a bad reaction, I’m sure there is contamination going on. I’m heading there now for a birthday dinner and will just be ordering a salad.
I have celiac. I ordered the gf pasta and had a bad reaction. I order from garden cafe frequently, and each time I explain in detail what I can and can't eat. Most of the time I order simply poached salmon with steamed vegetables, and they're kind enough to accommodate. However, they've told me other items on their menus are gluten free, but when I order them i frequently have reactions. Just be careful!
Garden Cafe is an outstanding, quaint little cafe at the intersection of Isham and Broadway in Inwood, a 20 minute subway ride from Time Square (A Train). All their salad dressings are GF, they have an awesome GF pasta dish in the menu. They even have a GF dessert!! I had the Green Salad with Pineapple Polenta and Roasted Pineapple dressing. The entree was GF Penne Pasta with spinach and roasted red peppers with garlic and olive oil. It was an outstanding dish. I highly recommend this place. The service was great. The non-GF members in my group also loved their food.We visited Garden Cafe while visiting NY from Texas. I highly recommend a visit here!
