Used same toppings and dishes and no separate prep area. Very misleading.
We love their herb crust. They toss all their dough in gluten free flour which is really nice. I reacted the first time, but we let them know the gluten free pizza is for those really sensitive to gluten and they have opened all new packages for the toppings.
I went to pick up a pizza and didn't. I don't consider it to be gluten free with shared toppings, work area, and equipment and flour being tossed around.
A friendly staff. Good pizza.
Nice that there is a GF option but the crust was terrible and the pizza was overloaded with lots of rubbery cheese.
The service is as expected, pretty good! But the main reason our family only orders from Garlic Jim's is because of the delicious and full sized gluten free pizzas. The gluten free crust is not udis brand like almost every other pizza joint, it is their own Garlic Jim's official pizza crust. One of the main reasons that we don't buy take out pizza any more is because of the price, your total adds up incredibly quick if you want to buy more than one pizza. So, if you have some money to spend and a great appetite get Garlic Jim's gluten free pizza!
Pizza (GF) tasted great! They do declare that they prepare the food in the same area where non-GF pizza is also prepared for those with really bad allergic reactions.
love that we can get pizza delivered to the house and it tastes good! GF pizza made in dedicated prep area. Only flour in the kitchen is gluten free used for either either type of pizza dough in the prep area / counter. You pay a little extra but I think it's worth it.
I love their GF crust.. flavorful and it's a "normal" size... not that teeny Udi's crust you get from the national chains at the same price. (grrr) I like that I can share with my family. Staff is always accommodating, they deliver, and you can use their coupons/deals on GF (also unlike the national chains).
The first couple of times my husband and I had Garlic Jims gluten free pizza, it was amazing. For some reason every time we go back to either location, the pizza tastes horrible, and I've been glutened a couple of times. We have given up on this place.
Best gf pizza crust I've had so far. Only problem is I've felt symptoms the last few times I've gotten their pizza. One of the last times I was there the person at the register handed me the pizza with his hands/arms coated in flour. Yes I was sick after eating it, but it tasted delicious. Wish I could go back, but better to be safe.
Eaten there twice without getting sick. They don't use cornmeal for their GF crust, either, which is a bonus. A little pricey if you get their gourmet pizza, but a large cheese and mushroom was 18. Nice that they have small, medium, and large pizza. They prepare the pizza in a separate space.
They are not safe with cross contamination. Last time I went there I got sick and got my blood drawn and my numbers were off. It was the only place I had eaten, other than my house. It tasted good, but if you are on a strict gluten free diet or have celiac disease I do not recommend going there.
For some reason, this place has glutened me every single time (I am Celiac). I have called to speak with management at the location and was very unsatisfied with the exchange. Didn't seem like the manager knew a thing about what I was asking, which seems odd given the GIG certification requirements. At least the Kirkland location has always fed me safely, so we go out of our way to get it there instead of 2 miles from our house. Anyone else had problems with this Bothell location??
Had the GF Gourmet Hawaiian pizza ~ canadian bacon, pineapple, coconut, & almond slivers. Crust was tasty, rest of pizza was ok. As others have noted, their price is a bit high...$3 extra charge for GF. They were very busy so service was a bit slow. Mgr offered free beverage though for the wait. A few hours after eating, I found myself to be VERY thirsty, so there must have been a lot of salt in the pizza. This place is mostly take-out, although they do have a small "waiting area" for you to actually eat there (about 8 stools). When staff was questioned about cross contamination, they responded by saying that they are very careful to not cross contaminate, which is great because they are GIG trained.
meh not so gluten free...my girlfriend is in the begining stages of flushing gluten from her diet so we went for GJ's pesto garlic chicken with bacon pizza and man there was gluten all in that pizza...so words for the wise garlic jims just because the crust is gluten free that doesnt mean its not touching other items containing gluten.
Who doesn't love pizza?!! And this place offers Gluten Free pizza which is even better. It's true, it gets pricey but I enjoy fresh toppings and great service. It's a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. I would recommend this place to friends!
Love this loc ation. gluten free pizza is delicious. no problem with delivery.
A great gluten free pizza! I'm from the east coast and I'm picky. One of the best I've ever had. Had to change my rating because I ordered a pizza at 8:30 and they wouldn't deliver it because it was too late and then dude hung up on me.
Are you kidding me?! Their website has a GF page...with the headline proclaiming Gluten Free*...with an * to a disclaimer that says these ingredients not intended for consumption by those with wheat allergies yada yada...?! Seriously? What am I missing here? Step away from Garlic Jim's and no one gets hurt.
Awesome pizza and have never had a problem with them messing up my order. I have celiacs and have eaten there many times with no issues. Absolutely the best GF takeout/delivery pizza out there.
The pizza here was excellent as they have been so far for me at Garlic Jim restaurants. FYI - This franchise serves only Large size in the GF pizza which surprised me because others I've been to only offered medium. You may want to confirm what size is available when you order.
We stopped by as we got off the ferry as an only option place to eat because we were so hungry. The pizza place was very small and we had to eat in the car. The staff was super unfriendly except for Xavier who took our order. The prices were reasonable. I was very happy with their knowledge and that I could order any pizza I wanted. The pizza was good...the crust was very comparable to Dominos....but a lot more toppings. I did like that I could order a small, medium or large and the price was the same as the "normal" pizzas.o would go here again if I was in the area!
The Torrance, CA location I frequent is THE BEST! They were never unkind when I 1st began going there and I requested they use clean utensils, prepare my pie away from the others, etc. Awesome staff, GREAT product and did I mention really really GOOD PIE! Pizza is Back @ Garlic Jim's!!!
Delicious gf pizza. However their customer service is horrendous. After having NON-GF pizza delivered to my house (by their error) at least three times, the manager insisted we were wrong and that we send the pizza back for his inspection before he would send a gf pizza (obviously thinking we were trying to rip them off). It was very obvious it was not gf, especially since we also ordered a regular, non-gf pizza for my husband. We told him he could keep his pizza and haven't eaten their since.
Just ordered a gluten free pizza from Garlic Jim's. I had a half and half, Southwestern Chicken and Chicken Bacon Ranch. The crust was delicious, not grainy like some GF crusts can be, not greasy at all, and full of flavor. I wish there was a Garlic Jim's in the Tri-Cities, WA.
The first chain I'd visited who were highly knowledgable and celiac friendly - you can feel safe with them but little tip, order pizza during less busy hours if possible to avoid too much kitchen activity at once... Keeps those small risks even smaller
