Came back everyday for breakfast while vacationing in San Diego. Some of the best breakfast food we’ve ever had (and we’re from Chicago where there are plenty of great restaurants). The chef made a phenomenal egg white omelette. Breakfast potatoes are gluten free and tasty. Skip the gluten free pancakes- a bit sticky/dense.

Found in-app. Used to always go to the broken yolk but this is much better. GF items listed on menu. Got scrambled eggs and GF multi gram toast. Tasty. Good portions. No issues. Also have GF pancakes

Great little breakfast place in the heart of the city. Visited 3 times. Many gluten free options. Their waffles are all gluten free, so that’s good. Service is a little on the slow side, but, it’s. Nice enough place to while away some time with a large cup of coffee as you wait. The food is good, and the servers are very aware of gluten issues. All in all, a good place.

Great breakfast spot! I have lactose intolerance as well, so my options were a bit more limited; I had a delicious veggie omelette, gf toast and a great fruit plate instead of the potatoes (fried in shared fryer). Highly recommend!

All I can say is wow. I was so excited to learn all of their waffles are GF. Then you have to wonder how they taste, well I am here to tell you they taste amazing!! I was also very pleased that I could order a half waffle. The only negative was service was slow.

Had lunch here and the waffle was good (all waffles are gf so that’s nice) but there was only one waiter serving the whole floor so it didn’t seem possible to ask questions, which I realize I need to do more. My friends both had chicken and waffles and one of theirs was a super small chicken piece compared to my other friends. I appreciated having a whole different cuisine other than Mexican to eat, so my food was tasty. Really loud music so rip to anyone (myself included) with noise sensory issues.

Found out by asking the waitress that all the waffles are gluten free! It’s not labeled so I wouldn’t have know unless I asked. I was anticipating an egg skillet type of morning. The waffle was so good, the s’mores in came with gf graham crumbles. I had some of the fries - they were delicious but didn’t ask about cross-contamination.

Very informative menu. All waffle batter is gluten free. So much on the menu that was safe.
I got the buttermilk cornstarch waffle and it was fluffy (not too dense like many GF batters) and still had some crispness to it.
Food was very quick as well!

The menu has GF waffles and pancakes. They had a sign out front saying their waffle iron was broken which makes me wonder if they use one iron for both regular and GF. The omelette offerings, which I got, are very plain and seem to cater to vegetarians more than GF. I asked if the bacon was GF and was told if it isn't marked GF then probably not. If you don't trust a restaurant to not CC pancakes and waffles there is very little on the menu. The potatoes that came with the omelette were fried and now I wonder if those were cooked in a shared fryer -- I didn't think to ask as I didn't think at first that they might be fried. Anyway, after reading the reviews here before I went, I was disappointed.

Delicious and safe. Most of the menu is marked as GF. Staff is well trained to input orders as celiac/GF when taking orders. They specified gf when they brought each plate out also. We ate here twice, and had chilaquiles; fried rice Benedict; pancakes; and GOAT omelette. All yummy. My husband even thought the bread was as good as non-gf bread! General manager apparently has celiac and that’s why the menu is so well designed with many GF options and safe handling protocols for staff.

Very accommodating staff. Unfortunately came on a day where the waffle maker was out of service but got the GF pancakes instead. The staff will cook them in a separate pan as long as you ask. They are easily identifiable as GF due to their gummy texture. Also not all items on the menu are marked like I got the fruit cup but it’s not marked as GF.

I had the flight which is ginormous. The photo the other member took was an excellent representation but know that plate is the size of a average new born baby. 👶 SO GOOD. I didn't get a photo because it was in my mouth too quick. I had the GF Orange Thyme waffle, Cornmeal with blueberries GF waffle and GF pancake with seasonal fruit. All were amazing. Hubs got the mashed potato waffle and it was amazing also. All waffles are GF. He isn't gluten sensitive and said that was the best breakfast he has ever had. Golden state latte also wonderful. Thanks for recommending community!!

What an amazing breakfast experience. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. And the food options were incredible. Getting to actual pick from almost everything on the menu was such a normal feeling. Loved every minute. Not to mention, no surcharge on gluten free anything… A definite MUST if visiting San Diego.

Great option for breakfast. My son had the flight with s’mores waffle, mashed potato waffle and gf pancake. I had the flight with orange waffle, mashed potato waffle and blueberry cornmeal waffle. All were good. Only negative was the waffles weren’t very warm, so the butter didn’t melt on them and they would’ve been just a bit better if hot.

I was very welcomed when I said I had Celiac. It felt as though this is a common situation for this restaurant. When I asked about the waffles, the server brought up cross contact, letting me know this was a safe area of the kitchen. The food was so good. I definitely recommend.

The ambiance in this place is so wonderful and cozy. The unique chairs that are different at every table is such a fun touch. The items are clearly marked on the menu what is gluten free. I got the omelet here and it was delicious. Their wake n bacon is totally not worth it. No special flavor at all.

I called to see what cross contamination risks there were, and found out that all their food is cooked on the same surfaces or same waffle irons. So if your sensitive to cross contamination I would avoid this place. Also the person I talked to didn’t understand what cross contamination or Celiac disease was, and I had to explain it to him after he had told me I would have been safe. Had I not asked more questions and ate here, I would have gotten sick because the staff didn’t know about celiac disease.
