Had a great experience here. The waitress was very knowledeable and did her best to help modify items kn the menu the were not originally gluten free. The menu also labels items that contain wheat which is helpful. She told me that yes, the meats and bread are on the same grill but that it is a huge grill with different stations and they are cooked at different stations, nowhere near each other, with different chefs and utensils.

So sorry to disappoint after all the good reviews I’ve read about Gaucho… do NOT order if you’re a celiac. Although most of the menu would be naturally gluten free, it turns out, cross-contamination is rampant! The waiter told me they use the same grill for the meats and veggies as they use to toast their bread. There is basically only 2 things on the menu (fish) which you can order, other than salad. But none of the meat! And meat is the whole point of coming to this restaurant. So sad :(

We love Gaucho so much that we got married here (at their old location)! So many menu items are GF and DF, it’s really easy to eat here and have no issues. Cannot recommend enough!

Staff was very helpful in letting me know what dishes were GF as-is (which is most of them) and which ones were with slight modifications. Food is OUTSTANDING and I had no issues afterwords.

I love it here! Almost the entire menu is gluten free except the sandwiches. They serve bread on the side with everything. Easy to say no bread! The filet is so good!

Extremely knowledgeable. Almost all menu items can be made gluten free. Most delicious menu in Pittsburgh for carnivores. Wonderful veggie dishes too.
