Review of Geddy's

Let me start by saying you need to try Geddy’s regardless if you can eat non-gluten-free or must eat gluten-free. This place is great by any measure!

We arrived Bar Harbor and began scoping out eateries with gluten-free menus. After finding great reviews on both Yelp and Find Me GF, we decided to try Geddy’s. We walked to Geddy’s from our rental (The Green Door Cottage), which was a good thing because parking in the commercial area of Bar Harbor was congested on this Saturday evening.

After a short wait, we were seated and ordered the Cadillac (top shelf) Margaritas. They were excellent. In looking at the menu, we were somewhat confused because GF was not annotated. But in talking to Mike, our excellent server, we learned most everything (except the desserts excluding vanilla ice cream) could be obtained GF.

We ordered a grilled haddock dinner with rice and veggies, and a lobster roll (hot and lightly buttered) with sweet potato fries and house made cranberry ketchup. The haddock was perfect ... mild and flaky and done perfectly with a light lemon butter sauce. The lobster roll was very tasty and the sweet potato fries were heavenly ... crispy outside and soft and creamy inside. And the cranberry ketchup with just a little heat from red chilis was outstanding.

I would have given 5 stars if there had been some GF dessert choices besides ice cream (which unfortunately is off limits due to lactose intolerance.

Mike was fantastic. The food was outstanding. We will be back and you should too!
