I called and ask which rolls had no flour/deep fried and they offered some options but said they can make most rolls gluten-free. When I picked a particular roll that had barbecue eel they informed me when I got there that the barbecue eel sauce had gluten in it so they did not put the sauce on and did some alternatives. They even provided me with a dipping sauce that was gluten-free. They packaged my roll separate from everything else to avoid any further, if any, cross-contamination. They were really friendly about it, and did not act put out or annoyed by my request.
Update: I went in for dine in and let them know I was gf. The menu had dedicated gf items on the menu. Not sure why I didnt see online. I spoke to our waiter and owner about being gf. My roll showed up on the same plate as my kiddos who had gluten on it. I quickly removed it to a separate plate. So if you have issues with cross-contamination, make sure to tell them to keep it separate. I’m not sure why it wasn’t because they did that for my takeout order before.
