Love everything about Ghostfish! Their fish & chips are delicious. My husband really likes their beer. It is so nice being able to order anything off the menu since it is 100% gluten-free. I just wish they would open one closer to home so we could enjoy their food more often!
I was so excited to find this place! They are 100% gluten free! I was actually able to get a flight and a couple of beers, which I haven’t been able to do since I figured out I had a gluten intolerance. The beers are incredibly good, and you could barely tell they were gluten free. My husband, who doesn’t have any issues with gluten, agreed that they tasted like normal good beer. We also got food. I had the wings and fries (wings could have been left in the fryer for another minute or two to get a little crisper but the sauce was good) and my husband had the Mac and cheese with bacon, which was good but a little dry. It was nice to be able to watch football and get actual bar food though.
This place is incredible!! I had phenomenal beers and ones I’ve never heard of or been able to try before!! The fish and chips, fried chicken, and fried jalapeños were to die for! The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were all friendly and hilarious. I will absolutely come back and recommend this place.
I wish I hadn't been so excited to get my fish and chips that I had taken a picture but the ones posted are exactly what I was served. The meal was amazing!!! It was so nice to know that as a celiac my environment was safe and that everything on the menu was an option, even all the beers. Our Group ordered beers, fish and chips, cheese fires, fried jalapenos (these were extra spicy today), and the kolbi beef skewers, there wasn't a bad bite to be found!! This is definitely a stop to make if you are in town!!
This is the best!! The food is great and wonderful coming to a dedicated gluten free place so I don’t have to worry. I’m also able to have the fish & chips and the tartar sauce and coleslaw is also dairy free - double bonus for me. This is my go-to place.
This place is unbelievably great. Maybe I am a little biased because I have Celiac but even if I didn't this place is the bomb and their beer (gf) is also insane. If you have to be on a gluten-free diet and you're in Seattle, you have to go here. And even if you don't then you should definitely try the jalapeno poppers, fish and chips, and the cheesecake. It's all gluten free. I haven't been able to eat this kind of food since I was diagnosed two years ago, but maybe that's because Los Angeles has fewer options. You won't be disappointed
My daughter who is celiac felt normal, could have anything off the menu. Food was delicious, she got to try fish and chips for the first time since the beer is also gluten free they had beer battered chips. We had to have a second order to go so she could have more when we got home!! Thank You for giving her this experience!!!
This place is amazing! Service is wonderful, sat at the bar, everything is gluten free, and it’s a cool atmosphere. Location in SODO so parking is much more reasonable. Had the fish and chips, haven’t had gluten free fish and chips for at least 5 years, since going gf. They do the most authentic batter on the fish, crispy, golden, and strong enough to pick up the cod fish like a corn on the cob. The fries are delicious as well. Perfectly crispy and skinny. Had a limited selection gf beer taster and which was delicious, especially the experimental.
Food was good, beer was good (but not better than Ground Breaker). Great location. I am knocking them down one star for two reasons: 1. Service was very slow. But I was there on a Saturday, so I understand. 2. There are no modifications allowed, to any menu item. That is not good customer service. ☹️
Wow. So good. We started with the beet salad, then I had the truffle fries with filet mignon. My husband had the lamb bolognese gnocchi. All delicious. I also had a taste of the table beer, Belgian trippel and the kombucha; all were tasty. I can’t eat garlic or onions either, and the waitstaff was able to bring me an ingredient list for most of the menu items so I could select items I could eat. They were responsive via email, and we returned to try the burger and fish and chips. The burger was very high quality Angus beef, and the fish tasted very fresh. Both times, we left stuffed to the gills.
Fantastic beer! Better than any others I’ve tasted, and I try beers all over the country. I like how they’re branching out and have a bunch of non-IPA options. My favorite is the meteor shower blonde ale, which is finally being sold in some stores. Their food has gone through a bunch of phases, and honestly sometimes it’s a little weird, but I can always count on the burger.
Stopped in on the way to the airport on a recent trip to Seattle. We wanted to find somewhere local to eat and were super happy to find this place. We arrived prior to dinner time, so there was just a Happy Hour menu, but that was totally OK with us. We ordered fries with cheese and bacon, beef skewers and a couple of steak tacos. Everything was delicious and the service was great. My 16 years-old daughter has celiac disease, which is why we ate there. She loved the food and also the cool environment. I had a couple of gluten-free beers and the beer was really good! It's amazing what these brewers can do without gluten! Highly recommend this place when visiting Seattle!
Visiting from the Orlando, Florida, area, and this place is incredible. My girlfriend has Celiac disease, so this was a must stop for our quick visit to Seattle. 100% gluten free with an amazing location and super friendly staff. Delicious beer and food and even if you are not gluten free, this is still a must go to location.
Friendly staff. Not a huge menu but everything is celiac safe. Fish and chips are the best I've ever had even before being GF. Beer, desserts are also safe. Everything was delicious! Beat the Game Day crowd if possible - walking distance to Safeco Field etc.
The staff were knowledgeable and helpful about the menu, all of which was gluten free, including the wide selection of beer. I got the ahi poke which was amazing, and a Caesar salad with Dijon croutons. My friend got the fried chicken and said that although it was good, the gravy was a bit spicy. The caramel pretzel crust cheesecake was good for gluten free cake, although it tasted a bit much like cream cheese for my liking. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the gluten free food was great!
What an amazing find. I’ve eaten at several 100% GF places before but they typically specialize in one style of food. The food was outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. These guys have created fabulous beer which happen to be GF. My beer loving husband liked it and he isn’t GF. I don’t typically drink beer but they make some fun mixed drinks with beer that are great. They will let you sample anything on tap before you waste your money on one too. We had beer batter jalapeños, steak with truffle fries, pork belly Mac and cheese, gnocchi with lamb bolognese. It was all amazing. I’ve tried GF gnocchi’s other places and been disappointed but these were outstanding. We will definitely come back to this place. One thing I tried to call several times and no one answered and they don’t have a message, it just clicks and goes dead at the end.
The food quality was awesome, and very fresh tasting. The wait staff and everyone working there was super friendly. The only downside was the ability to make additions to my meal. I ordered a burger and since I am also dairy free I asked for no cheese which was not a problem, but adding a fried egg was not an option according to the kitchen's policy even if I was willing to pay. Their other sandwich, steak sandwich comes with an egg, so I thought no biggie. I brought the concern up to the manager and she took care of me. I happy with the handling of it all, just bummed I left hungry and I spent a good amount of time researching and scoping out menu's before picking here. I would have appreciated the menu's online to reflect "no special orders or changes to food items". Then I would have chosen to go somewhere else. (we are visiting out of town) I am posting to help others be aware and ability to make their own decision. My hubby had the fish and chips (he's not gluten free) and said the taste of the batter was awesome, but the fish amount was small, meaning more batter then fish.
Good choice of mains. Everything is 100% gf so absolutely no need to worry about cross-contamination for once, which was so reassuring. My brother enjoyed the extensive range of GF beers available, so if you’re GF and into craft breweries then definitely check this place out.
