The menu is clearly marked for GF items. The ginger ale is homemade with buts of ginger in it. The braised lamb shank is amazing and my go to item. When they brought out my fattoush salad with my dinner and it had pita chips on it, there was no problem taking it back and making it without. More than half the menu is GF and the service is always amazing.
I liked that they had listed on the menu the dishes that are GF. I made sure I pointed out to the waiter that I was looking for gluten free items. They surprised us with a small dinner salad that had something crumbly on top. At first I thought it might be bacon bits and proceeded to eat it. I quickly stopped when I realized it was not bacon bits. I asked the waiter what it was and he said it was not GF and it was small fried pita bits. Needless to say it upset me. The rest of my meal was good. I just can't understand why a restaurant would add something like that to their salads and just hand it to anyone especially when it looks like from their menu that they are gf friendly
Im a very sensitive celiac and I felt great after eating a delicious meal at Ginger Cafe. I had the Mediterranean Chicken which was amazing! My son ate the lamb which was tasty. The staff was knowledgeable and caring. Btw, this place is bring your own wine or beer (cider in my case 😉). I highly recommend!!
This restaurant is incredible, the staff friendly, and the food amazing. The menu is clearly marked with vegan and gluten free options. There is a variety of both. We brought my daughter here. She is grain free and dairy free; she cannot have any nightshades. The manager himself talked us through the menu before offering to craft her a special meal, which she greatly enjoyed. Throughout the meal the manager accommodated our dietary needs even down to the salads for appetizers. When he brought our food out, he verified that everything was gluten free. Can not recommend this restaurant highly enough.
They had plenty of gluten free options. Haven't had dolmas since found out gluten free. The dolmas are delicious! My husband is a celiac & hasn't had restaurant jambalaya. He loved it & didn't get sick.
We visited based on other recommendation and we are so glad that we did. What a gem. There was a wide variety of different styles of foods to choose from: Mediterranean, Persian, Indian, South Asian and Greek. Lots of vegetarian and quite a few gf selections. Staff friendly and very attentive.
