If you are gluten-free, DO NOT COME HERE. I live near by and have been wanting to try this place because of their gluten-free options and gluten-free bread. I went for the first time today.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich with gluten-free bread. The cashier told me there are absolutely no substitutions allowed, so that’s not an option. She then suggested that I get the sandwich with a side of gluten-free bread, and that I could take the regular bread off and reconstruct it myself. I explained that wouldn’t help my gluten intolerance because the food will have already touched regular bread. She then advised that I not eat here at all because “everything is cross-contaminated.”
She told me that their gluten-free bread is actually NOT GLUTEN-FREE. She said the “gluten-free” bread touches all of the same regular floured surfaces when it is made.
I can definitely respect that some restaurants don’t allow substitutions, but I don’t understand how this place gets away with claiming they have gluten-free bread and gluten-free options.
In summary, if you are gluten-free, DO NOT COME HERE. If you are not gluten-free, I’m sure you’ll love it.

Really wanted to love the GF loaf but felt very itchy/allergic after eating it. I’m pretty sensitive and also react to other grains so that could have contributed, but sounds like others also react to stuff here. However, their smoked fish is best in LA so get that and put it on your own GF bread lol.

The one of the worst experiences I’ve had since I’ve been celiac (I was diagnosed in 2004). Multiple answers from multiple people, my allergy was taken not seriously (got a very condescending smirk from the guy up front when I tried to explain that it was doable to give me a salad). After I ordered my 40 dollar sandwich after talking to someone who understood celiac, friend and I were told they couldn’t accommodate me. I’ve honestly never been to a restaurant so unaccomodating, especially surprising given we’re in Venice and they advertise their gluten free bread. They literally told me their chef objected to using gluten free bread on certain sandwiches not because the items in the sandwich had gluten but because he just wouldn’t make one that way.

Delicious food but even the items made gluten-free aren’t safe for celiac, unfortunately. This place is essentially a bakery, so there’s no way for them to promise zero cross-contamination. I got a rice and avocado bowl and still got glutened.
If you have celiac, skip this place sadly :(

The GF loaf is amazing. Freshly baked and when toasted at home you would never know the difference between this and non GF bread.
