This place is dedicated gluten free! You can stop by their sister store (Noglu) for brunch/lunch a couple doors down and come here for dessert after!
They are famous for their hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow ring. In the summer they have frozen hot chocolate and in the winter they have regular hot chocolate.
It was a bit too sweet and intensely chocolatey for my taste. Since I’m not a big fan of very sweet treats or a lot of chocolate, I ended up sharing it and still couldn’t finish. However, the marshmallow ring was absolutely delicious! If hot chocolate isn’t your thing, they also offer ice cream and sorbets with gluten-free cones as an alternative.
They have a space for outdoor seating.
The menu online says they have a baked Alaska (which I was planning to get), but in person the menu did not have a lot of things on online menu (baked Alaska, profiterole sundae, etc). Unclear if those menu items are still available and just not on the in-person menu or if they no longer serve them. I didn’t feel like asking as there was a line so I defaulted to a waffle cone with ice cream. My mom got a frozen tiramisu.
Unfortunately my waffle cone was stale. The ice cream was good but didn’t wow me (got a scoop of mascarpone brownie & crème brûlée). I enjoyed the frozen tiramisu more than the ice cream though. I’d come back to try out different items. I guess the hot chocolate is super viral so it was super busy with people all ordering the same frozen hot choc and taking videos lol
Adore their ice cream flavors and delightful combinations like baked Alaska and macaron ice cream sandwiches! Can’t wait for the hot chocolate craze to die down, but Glacé doesn’t miss and its staff are fantastic. 100% GF - cones, unique and classic ice cream flavors, viral hot cocoa!
The hot chocolate went viral and it’s really that good! It’s recently been on several local news channels as well. Fully gluten free and delicious hot chocolate like you have never had. They have options to add cookies, icecream and more and it’s all dedicated gf! Same owners as Noglu and Zabars. Google and watch a video of how the hot chocolate is made, the marshmallow goes around the rim of the cup and they torch the marshmallow…there are many hot chocolate options to choose from. A decadent treat, get your own or share one! Lines for this can be long, especially on weekends.
Celiac This is, hands down, the most incredible ice cream. My son had the oreo soft serve on a gluten free cone with cookie crumbs. I went for hard ice cream - chocolate brownie and white chocolate Pistachio. 100% gluten free!!!! Next time, we'll know to get a large. It is expensive. Cone is $3 extra. But we'll be back again and again
100% GF! Really great French style ice cream (similar to gelato) plus sorbet, soft serve, and sundaes. Most importantly, GF cones! Best cones I’ve tried - not unbearably tough while managing not to crumble. It’s in the old Noglu spot and also has some Noglu products like brownies, etc. So cool to have a great and safe ice cream shop in the city!
