I would recommend a visit to anyone. It is quite a walk to get there, but it is so worth it. I tried the pretzel and it was the best gluten free bread I have ever had. There was a nice variety of sweet and savoury items, and I am already hoping to return to try more.
The shop works on an honour system, so can only accept Twint or cash, so come prepared for that.
Our first time traveling to Switzerland, we walked up hills to find this gem of a dedicated gluten free bakery in the middle of a residential neighborhood. When we arrived the door was locked, but the lovely owner came out and told us she was working on pre orders. She told us to take what we wanted from the stand outside. We got a delicious artisanal seed loaf. We were so grateful to the owner! It was well worth the trip up the hills, but we do recommend you call ahead to order.
Small bakery in a quiet neighbourhood. Opening hours are a bit unpredictable…. But! They allow pick up of orders when they’re closed (on a shelf outside) and also have bread to take away on an honesty system.
The large rolls we tried were absolutely superb - probably the best GF we’ve had and as good as or better than non-GF.
Delicious sweet cake and hard-crusted (very soft inside) bread. Sold by honor system, if you just show up. Very kind woman who said baker/owner is her daughter, came outside to help us.
Danke für deine Worte und schön hat es dir geschmeckt!
Absolutely delicious bread, good variety, and the owner is very kind! If you are gluten free and visiting Lucerne, this is the perfect stop. Do order your bread in advance, it is worth it! Will definitely be back next time I visit
Thank you for your kind words 😊.
