Cashier said there is no cross contamination, but GF and non GF baked goods are in the same display case. Then they put the GF muffin and non GF croissant in the same to go bag. The muffin was good - but it wasn’t good enough to risk it in the future. No reaction but I’m not as sensitive as some celiacs.
No problems with cross contamination. You order at the register, then sit and they bring you your food. Told the person working at the register I was celiac, she made a note, understood celiac, and I saw her talk with the kitchen and give instructions to prevent cross contact. I ordered the tostada and it was delicious. The cappuccino came with a cookie on the side which made me nervous so they brought out another without a cookie, no additional charge. Really cute restaurant. There are GF baked good but I’m guessing there is cross contact bc they’re in the same case as gluten-containing baked goods.
As a celiac, I’m super sensitive to gluten. I’ve had seizures, blood pressure issues, thrown up, passed out, etc. I was a little nervous going into it with conflicting reviews online, and one location seems to be better than the other ones on reviews, but the lady behind the counter answered all my questions about ingredients and asked the people making the food questions to clarify ingredients for me, including reading the back of the bottles on syrups. She also made allergy notes on the order for them. I ordered a egg and cheese sandwich on gluten free bread, strawberry matcha latte with almond milk and a immunity shot. There was a bit of cross contamination but they took all the precautions that they could to minimize it.
Really enjoyed the avocado toast and chicken club on gluten free bread! Delicious coffee as well. They did have gluten free baked goods. I can’t speak to cross contamination as I didn’t as those questions.
The staff was knowledgeable and provided me with options. When I said I was sensitive to cross contamination she was able to ask me detailed questions about the tortilla allergy labels to make sure it was safe. I got the juevos rancheros for breakfast and it was fantastic. No reactions. There are GF muffins available as well. Did not ask details about CC.
