Pizza crust is against the grain, which is great.
However, no separate topping or sauce station,no separate oven. Same sauce ladle is used on all pizzas, meaning you will get cross contamination.
While I was eating the owner came over and said he has celiac. But has no problem eating bread in other countries, I think he meant he has an allergy to it. He is super nice, just not fully informed on how serious celiac disease is, especially those with severe reactions.
He mentioned how the oven is 450 degrees and will kill the gluten.
I definitely spent a good amount of time in the bathroom after eating here as a sensitive celiac, up all night
This place is a fantastic find ! We went after reading the reviews,so glad we did ! It's a smallish old fashioned pizza place . You order at the counter and then they call your name . The gf pizza was amazing , just like regular pizza crust ! We also got a regular pizza and everyone thought the gf one was better ! Here is a picture of my heated up leftovers , I forgot to take a pic when the whole pizza came as I was so excited at how good it looked 🥰
Called and asked about their gluten free pizza wanting to make sure that they had good practices for preparing it. They were great with making sure there was no cross contamination. They did use the same oven but used a separate pan and knife to cut it. The crust has a cheese base but was still pretty thick. Crust was delicious though!!
