So my non-celiac husband freakin' loves this place, and it has a lot of gluten-tolerant fans in the local area.
Unfortunately, our server responded with a bit of evasion when I tried to clarify whether or not the breading on my tofu was gluten-free as promised. She then delivered a fortune cookie to me after dinner, as if completely forgetting that I'm celiac. Within 24 hours, I became violently ill, puking to the point of dehydration. To be fair, I may have reacted to MSG. But given the above experience, I wasn't comfortable about my safety and encourage the gluten-free public to call ahead with some very specific questions before eating here.
The food here is FANTASTIC! I have celiacs and I get very sick with even trace amounts of cross contamination. I have eaten here twice with no problems. They don't have a GF menu, but will make a lot of items fresh and GF. It is a small family owned restaurant and they go out of their way to make everything fresh and safe. Even their hot and sour soup is GF. Some dishes tend to be a bit sweet, just tell them you want it without sweetness. It's hard to find GF restaurants in Boise. Go here and you won't be sorry.
limited gluten free options, mostly stir fry and steamed white rice. All other rice dishes are cooked with soy sauce containing gluten, and most meats are breaded. All good cooked in a kitchen with gluten.
They cook with all gluten free soy sauce in the kitchen. Have a gluten free menu and willing to make most anything gluten free
