Get there early. Went on a Saturday late morning and they were sold out of a lot of goodies. I got some scones and a cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious!
This is a wonderful, dedicated gluten free spot and you will not be glutened here. Their savory rolls are delicious, but the lemon bread and eclairs are the stars — if you get the chance to eat one, take it! The only issue is that they cannot bake fast enough to keep up with demand and shelves are often sparse. But whatever you can get is worth it.
They need to change their name from Good Food to GREAT! Stopped by today for the first time & was thrilled with the selection of both sweet & savory treats. Stocked up on lots of yummy things but everything has tasted so good, I’m sure the rest won’t last long. Definitely worth the trip to downtown. Make sure to grab a cheesy savory scone, it was to die for!
I was excited to go here, but there were only four options that were gluten free and dairy free. I went back the next day to see if there were different options, but they had the same items even when I was the first customer of the day. I was disappointed that I couldn't try more things. Their cinnamon roll was really good, and I liked their sourdough bread even though I wouldn't classify it as having a sourdough taste.
It’s the first time I’ve ever walked into a place and could pick anything my heart desired from their choices. And I did. I bought 7 different items since I was only passing through and I could take it for the next day. So far I’ve eaten the eclair and let me just say WOW!!! It was amazing. Amazing. AMAZING! I’m so excited to try the other items. If you live in an area like I do where this has never been an option it, it was an emotional experience to just get whatever and knowing I didn’t have to ask a dozen questions to eat here.
Absolutely best scones I have ever had, best thing they are gluten free! Very Friendly and helpful. I also have a Oats allergy and they were very helpful with questions I had about if any of the pastries had oats- most don't, but anything with a crumble did. I absolutely recommend this place!!
In town for the weekend and we stopped by this little bakery. Super sweet girls working! Very enthusiastic when telling the story behind the business! Delicious cinnamon rolls!! It is one thing I’ve missed since being diagnosed with celiac is a good cinnamon roll! This hit the spot!
I’m newly diagnosed celiac and haven’t tried bread substitutes, because I remember from my youth trying my moms gluten free bread and it was gross. I’ve gone a few months without now and I really was craving some bread so finally made it to this bakery. I went later in the day so most things were low or sold out. I purchased rolls for dinner but had managed to eat two on my way home and nearly cried because the flavor and texture was amazing. I can’t wait to try the sweets!
We arrived just as they opened and picked up items for a party we were partially hosting. Brownies were labeled soy free and we got some rolls which were amazing. The gluten free guests were thrilled. My gluten loving husband enjoyed a pastry he picked up for breakfast so much that we almost pulled around for another but, had to get to the party. Wish I'd asked if the rolls were soy free since I was mightily sick by the evening but I suspect that was from my MIL forgetting about my soy allergy.
I nearly cried at how good this place is! I’ve been diagnosed Celiac and allergic to soy for over 5 years and have never found a place that solely accommodates my dietary restrictions, until now!!!
I love how everything is labeled so conveniently to show the ingredients each pastry contains, including things like egg, milk, soy, nuts, etc. The pastries are FRESH daily, and they offer pastries made the day prior at a discount.
I had to get one of every
available soy and gluten free item because I was so excited, and they were surprisingly much more affordable than I’d expected!
Their scones are so fluffy and buttery and the loaf slices melt in your mouth! The staff are friendly, patient and well educated. Totally worth the travel for a pleasant surprise. Can’t recommend enough!
ENJOY!!
The baked goods I ordered were delicious, but beware if you also have a soy allergy as most of their baked goods use soy flour. They do have little tags that indicate other allergens so pay attention or ask questions. When I asked they said that the lemon iced and marble sliced cakes, scones, and brownies were soy free, so that's what I got. Everything else is made with soy flour. I wish I would have known that before, but like I said what I had was delicious.
They’ve truly mastered gluten free! I love that they have both savory and sweet options. I’ve already decided they’re going to cater my wedding shower and the cake for my wedding! My favorite gf food I’ve tasted by far(and in my 12 years being gf I’ve tasted a lot). You won’t be disappointed I guarantee!
Awesome selection of savory and sweet treats and some awesome breads if you get there early enough or call ahead!
