Always excellent GF and vegan options- best in the area for combined allergies
I had to make a new account to make this review because the owners has been extremely rude to me and threatened to go through my JOB and write negative reviews about me on social media… all because I told them I got severely sick from eating their “slutty brownie” they heavily advertise on their social media along with their “gluten free” sandwich. Now reading through their reviews, I was not the only one who has been sick from this establishment. They ask EVERYONE to write them reviews on google and if you see, they write the meanest responses and never take credit for ANY mistakes. It’s ok to mess up. It’s ok not to be perfect. But to gaslight customers and make us feel like our comments are not validated is insane. PLEASE if you are celiac or gluten free, do not come here! I was sick 20 minutes from eating here. I had the WORST reaction to gluten that I have ever had in 15 years! This was the only place I went to eat the day I got sick. To the owners, I hope you never get a young or elderly person sick. I am also not “crazy.” I am also a “real” customer. I really did get sick! I reached out to you 5 times, not asking for a refund but to mKe sure your products are checked. You responded and basically said I was “fake.” I am not and I’m here to warn families about your products!
First time dining here today and I LOVED IT.
I have celiac disease and am very particular about where I eat/ safety.
Gentlemen at register was inviting and knowledgeable. In the time we were there many many people came and went with ordering in or grabbing takeout. Definitely popular!
I got a tomato sandwhich (with basil and garlic aioli); the Panzanella salad and Buffalo potatoes with ranch. It was DELICIOUS!
AND they have their own homemade desserts and creamery! I haven’t had soft serve ice cream in many many years and it was just as I remember what soft served tasted like!
Highly recommend anyone and everyone somewhat local to eat here
Do not eat here if you have Celiacs. I repeat, don’t. Run. I got so violently ill here. When I called to inquire about what might have happened the woman on the phone said she had no idea, didn’t seem to understand how when I said “violently ill” what that entailed either. Biggest regret- I ordered the “beet burger”.
There is controversy on safety. Let me state I asked to see the brand of bread they used cause it was so good. The wrapper says “Contains Wheat”. Not may. The management tried to tell me lots of gluten free products say this. They don’t. The seller of the bread makes no claims.
Sadly Nima tests were just failed in avocado toast
and potato’s.
So sad.
Kinda cold and uninviting decor but they're friendly and the food is better than vegan gluten free food has any right to be. I guess some reviewers claim they got sick here? Anything's possible (including regular old food poisoning) but it's literally 100% gluten free so I can't imagine any safer option.
I have eaten there at-least 15+ times over the past few years and as an extremely sensitive celiac I have never had a reaction. Most recently had a huge lunch there a few days before this review. These recent claims of contamination prompted me to confirm with the management that they still consider themselves celiac safe, and sure enough they do. There is no risk. I love their food endlessly and their new dairy free ice creams are incredible. Cant say enough good things about what this restaurant has done for me as there aren’t many if any other options in the area. Hope they stay open for a very long time and I encourage others in the community to give it a try!
I questioned if I got sick after eating here last time… I tried it again yesterday and I got horribly sick and now I can assure you it was from this place. I 100% question what is being used because it cannot be a dedicated gf facility based off the reaction I had.
100% GF vegan and amazing creations that are not your typical vegan choices. I had the better burger which tasted like what a Big Mac wishes it was. My 4yo ate his weight tofu nuggets. My husband had the eggplant ricotta “meatballs.” Friendly service and a very welcoming environment. Well done goodbeet, well done. Vegan gf ice cream right next door too!
The best gluten free food I have tasted, hands down. The desserts, the specialty donuts, and the meals. Truly phenomenal food!
I love this place! Completely GF and vegan! I’ve seen some comments about people still getting sick but I know for sure that they don’t have gluten in the building. The use soy in some products but def safe for the average GF. Always go with the better burger. Lights my soul up lol
This place needs to be more forthcoming with their gluten free claims. I have eaten there twice. The second time (and last time) being tonight when I was so violently ill I considered going to a hospital.
Do not take the warnings from previous reviews lightly. Both times I ordered the “Big Mac” and I must have lucked out the first time. I don’t know how these meals are prepped or what they are doing in the kitchen but the difference between my first and second experience is night and day. It was the worst glutening in recent experience.
Heartbeet - I urge you to be forthcoming and transparent with how safe these gluten free meals are.
I love their desserts! They have good cupcakes, amazing cookie cakes, and their “The Beet Creamery” next door has the best gluten free donuts.
Gluten free and vegan casual-fast restaurant with many apps, mains, desserts and coffees. Their sister shop, beet creamery (next door) does gf/vegan ice creams and (several days per week) gf donuts.
Food is consistently fresh and tasty.
I wanted to believe so badly. I've been eating at Heartbeet on and off over the years. The on was when they first opened and the food was delicious. The off started the second time I got sick from eating there. I thought it could be a fluke, but as the food, at that time, had started to take a turn for the worst, it made it easier for me to take a break.
Months later, at a loss of where to eat for lunch, I tried them again the food was delicious! I went yet again and got something different. It was delicious; the quality have been restored to greatness. Almost immediately after, though, I became ill, and have been for about a week. It started with chills, nausea, joint pain, and now is just a constant bloating, which I am familiar with as intestinal inflammation from when I have been glutened in the past. Staff is kind, the food is good, but if you have Celiac dis-ease, I would have to advise that you not eat there. It's unfortunate.
Entire place is gluten free and vegan. Excellent selection of appetizers, entrees, bakery items, and drinks. They also have ice cream and sell retail goods/packaged foods.
Vegan food was good! Get the cauliflower wings ones and salads. Haven’t tried the sweets yet but I’m sure it’s better than the blue bear place
Very good food, just wish it was bigger inside. So much nice staff. Support this place instead of they “Blue” bakery with rude staff and burnt foods
Great vegan AND gluten free menu. I had the breakfast skillet (made with spiced cauliflower) and roasted potatoes and coconut “bacon” which was very good and a large portion. Buddy had chocolate chip pancakes which he said were great. I hear their faux “Big Mac” sandwich is amazing. I’ll try that next visit. They have sweets too including a “Slutty Brownie”!
Do not eat here. I got soooo sick the two times I ate here. Violently sick
They’re 100% gluten free and vegan. I like their cashew queso dip the best, and their sandwiches are pretty good too
Had the buffalo cauliflower sandwich which was delicious, everyone at work kept telling me it looked so good. 4 stars because they need to hire more people. They had one girl running the whole shop basically so service was very slow, but not her fault.
Everything made is plant based and gluten free... Everything!!!! I had eggplant meatballs and zucchini pasta and it was so good.... Love this place.... Also not sure what the person below is talking about their is only gluten free bread they don't serve regular bread so you can't cross contaminate!!!
Wow! Well done. I tried the Pizza. It's a thin crispy crust with a tomato sauce (bbq flavored), chickpeas, red onion, and arugula. It was excellent. It is a bit pricey, but if you're trying to eat healthy, it's worth it.
Expensive & menu is too vegan-oriented for my personal taste, but I've enjoyed everything I've tried, and food is safe.
OMG WOW! I don't even know where to start. All allergies friendly and delicious. Just go there.
We had the French toast & it was delicious! The staff is wonderful!
We went to Heart Beet for lunch yesterday. It is a gluten free, dairy free restaurant. My daughter had the fruit salad, my husband had the black bean burger and I had zucchini pasta and quinoa meatballs. Everything was delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back.
