Not sure how the other celiacs who ate fries didn’t get sick. They do not have a dedicated fryer. I’m pescatarian so that only left me with the salmon which was okay. Many things listed GF aren’t (felafel salad) due to a shared fryer. Food was okay. Server was very helpful if not overly knowledgeable. At least I didn’t get sick.
Server said few things are true GF and it’s more gluten friendly. Fries, soup, and Brussels sprouts were lovely. Sandwiches cross contact on the same panini press. And I’m super grateful she said probably best to stay away from desserts to avoid cross contact. Still plenty of options and lovely experience. Very grateful for the knowledge and care.
They served my daughter her sandwich on regular gluten bread. 😡 Her and I are both celiac and both ordered GF bread and asked the server to note a gluten allergy. AFTER she had eaten a third of it, she noticed that our breads looked different. The server checked, came back and said yes it was gluten free, then we asked why the bread looked different. He agreed, took it back to the kitchen, and found out that the cooks had indeed made it on gluten bread. We are so upset! We are getting on a plane and praying that she doesn't get too sick while we are in the air. The server was very apologetic, but there wasn't a manager there, and they couldn't get ahold of either manager. My daughter was sitting there sobbing. We ended up just leaving so we could catch our flight.
I was looking for something gluten free but all the places listed on here had bad reviews for cross contamination. This restaurant was really helpful and they answered all my questions easily about safety standards and the way they would make my meal. I enjoyed the French onion soup that even had a slice of GF bread underneath the delicious cheese topping. It was flavorful and exactly what I was looking for. I also enjoyed the avocado toast. They changed gloves and they don’t use a toaster so they can eliminate the risk of cross contamination that way. I look forward to coming back to this airport for this restaurant. I am severely Celiac and yet had no reaction. Why can’t more airports have options like these?!
Great food with gluten free options clearly marked. GF options available for both sit down and take out dining. I got the avocado toast w gf bread for takeout. It was good but over priced. I also tried dine-in breakfast and order eggs benedict, which uses polenta instead of bread by default. Great stop with lots of options.
