The beat shrimp and grits ever

I asked my server what my gluten free options were and he said “ all of the vegetables have butter on them so that’s out” seriously! The vegetables are served in tiny condiment cups, the salad was about a half cup of beat up looking ice berg, salt and pepper and vinegar and oil cruet made my fingers sticky and I’m throwing up today! Btw I have never written a review before but I felt obligated.

While the menu doesn’t denote gluten-free, our waitress, Rachel, was knowledgeable and very helpful. There are some items that are gluten free anyway, and others that can be prepared gluten-free. I had the potato skins and Shrimp and Grits, one of their signature dishes, and both were very good. For your friends who are not gluten-free, my husband had the Seared Tuna and She-Crab soup and thought they were great. I’m always confounded by the fact that it would be so easy to make these soups with corn starch instead of flour, but what can you do besides make the suggestion. This is a low key venue, there’s a small porch that looks out over the inlet. We were happy we gave them a try.
