Extremely limited options, although what I had was tasty. Unfortunately, despite letting them know I was a highly sensitive celiac, they glutened the heck outta me.
No
Unfortunately, I have to rate this place as high risk for celiacs. I asked if they had a gf menu and they said their gf menu items were identified. You have to identify yourself as gf if you want the gf items to be gf. My group ordered the lobster guac and the mussels. Both came out with issues. The lobster guac came with chips deep fried in a shared fryer, the mussels came out with gluteny bread on top. After I notified the server the manager came out eventually and was VERY gracious. Good intentions are unfortunately not good enough to prevent sickness. The kitchen can be seen at all times, is very open and high risk at cross contamination. Don't risk it! I left and went to Burton's which is amazingly good for celiacs. The hostess at Burton's asked me if we needed a gf menu at the door, go there instead!
Solid restaurant and scratch kitchen with GF awareness and options. Fun atmosphere too.
Yes
I went to Great Road Kitchen this past Friday. afternoon. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender. I originally only intended to get a drink and was pleased to see that she mixed my Titos and cranberry juice in the same glass she served me. (I get nervous about cross contamination with the metal shakers.) I asked her about the GF items on the menu and she said she highly recommended them and that the chefs don't fool around with allergies. I am really sensitive to CC, so I was a bit nervous... but I got the arugula salad and it was FANTASTIC. I didn't get sick either! It's a great new find close to home and I will be eating there again!
