The Grits a Ya Ya were recommended by the waitress and totally gluten free. I know quickly if there has been cross contamination. But none here! The grits and shrimp were delicious! We ate there twice during February 2024 and the experience was great each time. I highly recommend.

We’ve been to this place several times. I would say the seared chicken sandwich on gf bun is the best thing I’ve had there. They seem to use different brands of gf buns because the one I had today was delicious as opposed to other visits where the buns were the typical crumbly blah ones. Fries are marked gf on the menu but there is no gf fryer. Coleslaw isn’t listed as a side but it’s available and very good.

Had GF marked on the menu. Some items are gf that aren’t marked. For instance, shrimp is gf as long as you don’t order fried. French fries and sweet potato fries are marked gf, but there’s cross-contamination. They have plenty of other veggies to choose from

Had grilled chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes. My food wasn’t coming out but everyone else’s did. The waiter came over and said he forgot to tell the cook it had to be gluten free and they used the wrong seasoning on the chicken. They had to redo it. Everyone was basically done eating by the time I got my food. It was very good and I appreciate the waiter telling me about the mistake and he apologized multiple times.

Good stuff! Like every place else here it’s expensive but the food is good. Make a reservation a week in advance!

Even though the black and blue salad was marked GF, our waitress came back to the table and said the chef said the steak was marinated in a gluten sauce. She brought the salad out with unseasoned strips of steak and oil and vinegar for dressing (as she said their dressing contained gluten). I didn’t get sick but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Definitely make a reservation. They open up the week before. The food and drinks were fantastic!!! I had the balsamic salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans-delicious. The rest of my party is not GF and everyone loved their meals too! No reaction.

This experience didn’t start out well with our waiter who essentially said he could mark GF but once it goes into the kitchen *shrugged and smiled*. Not what you want to hear at all.
Spoke to a manager who came out and said that they have a dedicated allergen prep area in their kitchen and that they take allergies very seriously. SO, I’d highly recommend speaking to the manager here to place your order.
Food was delicious (I got grilled fish and their grits, and green beans) and I had no issues as a result of dining here.

We had a delicious meal here. All gluten free items are clearly marked. The server was great and put my mind at ease 100%. They have a separate prep area for gf. He said that the only thing on the menu that says gf but that is cross contaminated in cooking oil are the sweet potato fries. He was very knowledgeable about all the food and how it was prepped/cooked. I got the crab for starter and salmon on salad greens for my main meal. I highly recommend!

The pulled pork sandwich with the Korean bbq sauce was divine! They had gf buns that tasted amazing. My only concern is items on the menu listed as gf when they weren’t prepared gf, mainly the fries. Our waiter told me right away though when he found out about my celiac.

Excellent service. Gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu. Server was knowledgeable of gluten free customizations available. Shrimp and grits, salmon, and crab and avocado appetizer were all delicious!

I had the mahi mahi and it was perfectly grilled, their tartar sauce is homemade and the mojitos are excellent as well. We will definitely be back!! The only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars from me is because the hostess was rude and not very friendly. Our server was great and overall experience was awesome though.

Great food! Big portions. Lots of options for everyone. Manager very knowledgeable about gluten & soy.

We loved our breakfast. My mother and I are both Celiac and neither of us were ill afterward. I had the grits a yaya (without bread) and my mom had the frittata and hash browns. Yum!! (If you’re a shrimp and grits fan I think Stinky’s is tough to beat- also was safe for me.)
Server was well aware of cross contamination and varied GF sensitivity. Many options on meats, veggies, sides, etc.
The server was very friendly and helpful, said she would check to make sure everything I ordered was gluten free and that they would be happy to accommodate me.
Crab legs app and grilled shrimp with green beans and mashed potatoes!!! So delicious! Waitress asked if I was celiac but my meal still came to the table with hush puppies. 🙄 no reaction, yummy food, gluten free menu! Would go back!
After reading all of the reviews l, I thought this would be a perfect place to eat! After arriving to the cafe, the service was awful from the presentation of our waitress, her mood and the chaos in the kitchen with everyone yelling at one another. When I ordered my food, I asked if they had gluten free bread and they said NO! Which is fine so I decided to get their beef with Swiss cheese on top with no bread and a side salad. The beef was dry!!! In all aspects, I would not recommend this place.
No
Shrimp and grits were awesome - didn't get sick - THANK YOU!
I have celiac. We spent the day at Seaside Beach. If started pouring!!! Hopped onto to find me GF app to find a place to eat and hide out from the rain! They now have a menu that labels the items GF! Extremely knowledgeable! I ordered Titos vodka in a Moscow mile to drink! I also had a burger (without a bun), mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. To my surprise the burger came with GF bread...the cook grabbed a few pieces from a neighboring restaurant for me!!! It was delicious! I haven't have any reactions to anything. Definitely celiac safe! Delicious food and chill atmosphere!

I had a great lunch there with my family! There is no gluten free menu available, but the wait staff was very knowledgeable about what my options were on the menu. The chef and waiter even made some adjustments to my order because they were unsure of how the prep cook had handled an aspect of the food prep earlier that day. Great attention to detail!

Came for breakfast and it was great. Waitress familiar with celiac. I had the poached eggs Benedict with tomato slices instead of English muffin. Grits are yummy too!
Yes
Great experiences here. Waiters are very helpful and genuinely seem to care. Gave 4 stars because I Wish they had a GF menu
Knowledgable about the items when we called ahead (salad dressing and fried items). Call ahead and speak with the manager, as the server suggested all salads are GF, however the balsamic dressing contains soy sauce. The waiter recommended the easiest GF dish, the grits ya ya. I went with the grilled big gulf shrimp, collard greens and grits. Everything was good, but the shrimp was a little bland. No GF desserts :(
Gluten free burger was very good! I wish they us a gluten free menu available, but the waiter was able to tell me some of the items that was or could be gluten free.
Yes
Good food and friendly staff. Gluten free buns are a nice touch. The burger is really good.
Can make many items GF, I had the grilled chicken and it was great! They also offer gluten free buns!
Great Burger. They have GF buns for all their burgers. The cheese grits were awesome. We had a burger but they had a shrimp "yaya" meal that also looked great.
