Awesome! My daughter has celiac and we tried the Woodside Grill. The chef came out and took my daughter over to the buffet and let her choose what she wanted to eat. He then went to the kitchen and cleaned the grill and prep area and created the meal from scratch to be certain it was gluten free!

(June 2023) My daughter has celiac and we haven’t had a vacation since her diagnosis nearly 5 years ago. The chef came out to speak with us at dinner last night, asked what she was in the mood for, asked about cross contact, truly did an awesome job for her and for my tree nut allergy kiddo. They had a great meal and no issues at all. My Celiac kiddo had a burger and fries, said they were the best fries she ever had. My allergy kiddo had grilled cheese and double fruit. Everyone was happy. The adult meals were awesome as well. Kind of pricey and took a little while, but expected and well worth it.
Edit to update: we went again this year (June 2024) and yet another excellent experience in the grill restaurant! We also had the gluten free pizza last year without issues, but it did take a long time. This year we went to mellow mushroom off-site and it was excellent. I left a review for them as well.

Great Wolf is a place that has serious guidelines about allergies, especially something like celiac disease. However, I do not recommend their pizza place, especially during rush hour. I got sick within a couple hours after eating their gluten free pizza (keep in mind I have very sensitive celiac), luckily it was a quick turnaround and didn’t dampen my experience there. The staff in their big dinner station was excellent, after overhearing me and my parents talking about the contamination they were quick to figure out what happened and inform. They got me water, sprite and some toast free of charge to help settle my stomach and their ribs are some of the best things I’ve had. Overall 9/10, highly recommend them despite the hiccup.

I can’t say enough good things about Chef Aaron! We explained that my son has celiac, and he shared the different items he could make for us that would be safe for him to eat. We went with the chicken tenders, and he cooked them in a new pan with fresh oil by themselves (Bob’s Red Mill flour for the breading) along with his fries to make sure his food was safe for him to eat. Then he told us to page him from the front desk when we were ready for lunch our second day so we did, and he made our lunch even though the restaurant wasn’t open yet. The food was delicious and we felt so well taken care of!

The Lodge has a clearly marked menu and a dedicated fryer. Enjoyed a cheeseburger with GF bun and fries. No issues.

Horrible experience for breakfast. I was told they don’t “cater to allergies due to covid” bring your own food or prepare eat outside the hotel for breakfasts and lunch. Menu not labeled for breakfast or lunch.
The dinner Lodge Grill is only open from 5pm and 8pm and has a handful of things wings, fries, sides etc labeled GF. I did eat fries and wings and haven’t had issues thankfully. I was grateful that menu was labeled and allowed for take out orders.
The website says to email prior to arrival with food allergy/issues and they would help but I have emailed prior to arrival the 3 times we’ve stayed here and never gotten a single response or acknowledgment. Very disappointed overall in the customer service of the restaurant for breakfast/lunch

Great experience! Plenty of options and staff very knowledgeable. Chef comes out to you at the Buffett to go through options. They can make gluten free pancakes and do some tater tots in a dedicated fryer for you. Very good gluten free wings for lunch. All in all, an excellent experience and we will be back.

World class staff. Great wings and Shrimp and Grits are probably the best I have ever had ( including Savannah and NOLA before diagnosis).

I ate at the Lodge Wood Fried Grill tonight and I was so impressed! The menu was clearly marked with gf options and the server was very knowledgeable as well. I was able to get a Caesar salad without croutons and a gf bun for my burger. They brought regular bread for the table and a huge plate of fruit for me. The fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer and were so yummy (I had the loaded fries). The servings are HUGE and we had so many leftovers to enjoy later. Highly recommend the Lodge Grill!

the Wildfire Grill did a great job accommodating gluten free needs. Even managed to throw together some boneless buffalo wings with gluten-free breading. Epic!

No Gluten-Free menu. Server wasn’t very much into explaining, she just pointed out the dishes that were “safe”. Asked her more about what goes in the sauce, she told me the ingredients but kind of scrambled the words a bit. I am not very sure if they use any flour for thickening. I mentioned about soy sauce and using same things. They aren’t very aware of celiac, when I said, lady said “what”?
Had a great meal last night. I am having to eliminate gluten, grain, corn, soy, dairy and pepper out of my diet for several months. I dreaded going out to eat during vacation but was so pleased. The chef came out and created an amazing dish of risotto and chicken to suit what I could eat. So thankful to be able to enjoy a meal out with my family.
Did offer GF items. In the restaurant the items were clearly labeled on the menu. I did not eat at food area in the water park so I cant speak for it. Would still love to see more gluten free options added.

Staff was very knowledgeable and the chef came out to explain how everything is made. Dedicated fryers and griddles🙌🏻. Gluten free pancakes were made to order and toast as well. Gluten free bun (Woodfire Grill) was delicious as were the chili rubbed wings...we actually ended up ordering a second order of those! Buffet has multiple GF items and if it is next to something with gluten they will bring you fresh items from the kitchen. My husband and I both had the Cuban sandwich GF with sweet potato fries and my daughter had the grilled chicken meal. All was delicious. I would go there to eat even if not staying at the lodge!

Staff is very knowledgeable of celiac and needs from hostess to wait staff to chef to cabana attendants. The Moose Grille has dedicated fryers, pool food does not (so order from Moose Grille). Food was tasty and safe. Celiac Daughter ate breakfast in buffet restaurant but chef made her gf pancakes & brought sausage & bacon from the back. Omelet station is 100% GF. No need to worry/stress about feeding our daughter safely. This experience is consistent with GWL in Anaheim, CA and one of the reasons we return to GWL when doing a family vaca.

Awesome and SAFE gluten free food! We had a gluten free pizza, burger, spaghetti and meatballs and Cuban sandwich! All delicious! Also had gf brownie and lemon sorbet! The Wood Fire Grill had GF but not other restaurants at GWL. I am super sensitive and ate all meals here with no reactions!
Yes
Gluten free calamari and gluten-free chicken Parmesan for dinner tonight! They have a dedicated prayer and know what they’re talking about.
The chef comes out & asks you what to eat & tells you what gluten free things they have - GF buns, Breads, even use GF bread crumbs to coat chicken tenders if they are currently on the menu. They are knowledgeable about cross contamination. They have GF cookies & brownies too. This is the Wood Fire Grill on the 2nd level of the lodge. The restaurant right next door that serves a buffet breakfast can also serve a great GF breakfast from a menu (pancakes, toast, etc)- they are run out of the same kitchen. Just know that other food choices in the lodge and water park are not Celiac friendly.

The Loose Moose Cottage- The chef came out and was walked me through what I could and couldn't eat. She even brought me certain foods from the back to be sure they weren't contaminated. She even made me GF pancakes! Definitely a safe place to eat.
Chef came out.. Even chicken tenders were gf. Dedicated fryer. Set this worried mama at ease
