Pizza is not celiac safe - made in shared kitchen and not recommended for those who are sensitive. Did not try it.
— Not at all
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much
Ate here several times in a short span because it was safe and tasty. Multiple gluten and dairy free items. Staff very well informed. Basically they fry everything gluten free and dairy free so there is no cross contamination! Highly recommend

Not only did they know how to safely handle food, they had more than a few options. We have food allergies on top of celiac and got to enjoy fish and chips and chicken strips - all gluten, corn, soy and dairy free. They use rice flour and rice bran oil. They understand allergies and sensitivities and were more than accomodating. Not only that but ALL staff was friendly and happy to help. It's nice to be and feel safe and be treated well, too.
Next time we come to Cedar Point we are just going to stay at their hotel because it was just fantastic.

So . From a celiac perspective the menu is marked and so far so good on that point. The server may have been having a bad day..but replied 'oh they know because its marked GF.. when I asked to notify the kitchen staff...I insisted.
Here is the 4 start. Food was super sub par/ but good. Menu seems promising.. but food came out and about the same the townie bar down the street would serve..and way more expensive. Kids menu is suited for the older kid..just fyi. Service recovery was good..they took a few things off the bill. So final recommendation: they have safe fries so yea! But if you want a "quality" meal. I would go somewhere else. If you just want to feed yourself and the kiddos and not get sick ; have at it
Loaded cheese fries ! Chicken tenders!
I was so impressed with the Gitchigoomie Grill at this location. I ate two meals here without getting sick. When I told them I was gluten free, they brought the chef out to discuss my options. They do not fry anything with gluten in their fryers. Even their chicken fingers are breaded in rice flour. Highly recommend!

While our stay was not the best the grill and bar was delicious! The bartender and waitress were very knowledgeable in all their gluten free dishes.

Amazing! Best experience we've ever had with gluten and dairy sensitivities at a restaurant!
I've had great luck here! No issues
I cannot say enough about this resort's food service! My middle child is the most sensitive with gluten (my youngest and I come next), & he was so excited about the options here. The food manager talked to me on the phone and in person when we were there, & he introduced me to the chef. They let me know options and how food is prepared in a separate, sanitized area with special tools and pots, etc. Every meal that was gluten free was brought out on a red plate by a server wearing gloves. We had gf pizza, pancakes, macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, you name it. It was tasty, & they were open to preparing anything else we might be interested in. They even ask about allergies when you request a table at the restaurant. Finally, the prices for our food? Same as non gf items! Seriously impressed and so grateful for the care we received.

The restaurant has a gluten free menu, our server was very knowledgeable about it, both our server and the kitchen took special care of the gluten free order (it was brought to the table on a different plate and the server was wearing gloves), and the food was excellent!!

My family stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, Sandusky for our first family trip post celiac diagnosis. We wanted to find somewhere that would be fun but where we could also have relative control over our meals. GWL has refrigerators and microwaves standard in all the rooms, so bringing and preparing meals was relatively easy. On our last day, we decided to stay longer to swim after checking out. This meant that we were not able to retreat to our room to eat and decided to take a chance at Gitchigoomie grill and boy are we glad we did! We told the server of our celiac and the chef came right out to talk to us specifically. He assured us that they know all about celiac and the necessary precautions. We ordered gluten free chicken tenders and fries for the kids The tenders are prepared offsite and shipped to each GWL location and they cook the GF tenders and fries in a separate, clean, fryer. My husband and I each got burgers with a GF bun. The buns come in separate, sealed bags and they were delicious. Perhaps one of the best GF buns we've ever had. Finally, there is no upcharge at GWL for gluten free food. We paid what anyone would pay for like non-GF items. All in all we were very impressed with how accommodating, knowledgeable and careful GWL was for us. I'd recommend this GWL to any celiac looking to take a small family trip. Side tip: if you do travel here check out Jam's Gluten free bakery in town!
